jmarg25ParticipantI feel like I am one of the few people who think Trae Young is too underrated right now. He led the NCAA in scoring and assists as a freshmen. Hes got an incredibly quick release that goes out to Curry range and he is more of a point guard than Curry ever was in college. If he drops to ten that is a travesty.

kobyzParticipantHe definitely has the skills, leadership, feel to run a team, but scouts worry about his size and weight…

The GoatParticipantWendell Carter is too high IMO. We’ll revisit in 3 years but hes my pick to be a bust. Im not saying he will be, he obviously has skills, but not all draft picks are all stars and about half dont pan out.. I think hes on top of my potential bust list – the new age tweener, to me hes not suited to be an effective NBA 5 in size, ability and fluidity on both ends.
Surprisingly, id be more likely to take a bet on Mo Wagner with a lower pick. Im glad to see him slide into the first round here. He is underrated and for a big man has already developed all around skills a lot of NBA bigs dont have. His mechanics are more fluid offensively, has a bit of drive about him and i like his stroke.

kobyzParticipantI think he’ll surprise a lot of people, he’s top tier competitor that know how to cover his limitation and getting it done despite, almost in the mold of draymond/al horford as competitor..,

SwatLakeCityParticipantI can’t see the Magic selecting Jaren Jackson Jr who plays the 4 or 5 when they already have Aaron Gordon and Nikola Vucevic who are both playing very well and therefore clogging up playing time for triple J. I would think the Magic would look at a SF, or PG first before they look to replace Gordon or Vucevic. To me, this pick has been Trae Young ever since the Magic traded Elfrid Payton to the Suns at the trade deadline and had to use DJ Augustin and Shelvin Mack as their PG’s for the last month and a half of the season. To me the writing was on the wall at that point, and their pick would be Young. But that’s just my thoughts.

kobyzParticipantVucevic is in his last year of his contract, he could be traded and not in the long terms plan I belive, they need to move away from him and try a modern big instead like JJJ…
