I personally think, that Josh Smith can be one of the best players in the league. Now he’s averaging 15 points, 2 steals, 3 blocks, 4 assists, and 6 rebounds. I think when he is the number 1 option on atlanta next year, we will see this. His only real problem is shooting(which is improving), but I’m thinking he can be that physical force that gets to the goal and the line when he wants. I think he and Jeff teague can be great along with Marvin Williams and al horford.

to me those are all star numbers. and they will be a perennial top 4 team in the east for years to come.

He isn’t going to be the number 1 option, unless he improves his handle and jump shot. I have never, in all the years he’s played for Atlanta, seen him create a shot for himself off the dribble. Any 1st option needs to be able to do that.

the dude gone be good i think he can be a all star one day but he should never be a number 1 on anybody team plus he wont get the opportunity in Atlanta cause they gone bring Joe Johnson back without Joe they are not a top 4 team in the east

what i’m saying in atlanta’s offense he will be the number 1 option(i’m thinking joe johnson is going to leave) but when i say that i don’t mean he’s going to be lebron james, dwayne wade, kobe etc,

i mean andre igoudala should be a 2nd or 3rd option but he is the number 1 in philadelphia, i never said josh smith is a number 1 option, i said he will be in atlanta, and we I say best player i mean in stats alone.

and he could put up those numbers, he already has all of those stats except the points, and he is steadily improving so it’s possible

so before you critique go back to elementary school and learn reading comprehension, it helps 🙂

and quincey hodges(you’re a good poster) you said shawn marion, in shawn marion’s best years his stats were right around that line. that I gave for josh smith.marions a better rebounder, but josh smith has him in the blocks, steals, and assists.

so you gave a good comparision, but to everyone else it proves my point.

Josh Smith at best is a second-best player on a team and that’s what he will be… If you put him on the spotlight, there is a huge chance that he’ll crumble down the line much like Scottie Pippen did during the 1993-94 Season. He still has that stubbornness in him but he has grown to be a much more mature player this year… He has played more inside and has been pretty much coachable. Imagine this guy being picked by the Cavaliers at 10 during the 2004 NBA Draft instead of urp, Luke Jackson, he and LeBron would make a devastating combo…
