joecheck88Participanteven though these things aren’t official yet, amare and chris bosh have changed the landscape of basketball enough to where i think lebron going back to cleveland is now less likely. Here are my final thoughts on the last few key free agents.
Lebron James- 1)NYK, 2)MIA/CLE, 3)CHI- Yes New york Knick fans, Lebron should be considering you alot more as of this morning. He wants to go back to Cleveland but other teams are becoming too talented. I think he would be intrigued to play with DWade and Bosh but I think he wants to win rings as the number 1 guy. Chicago has fallen off quite a bit even before Bosh and Wade to Miami.
Carlos Boozer- 1)CHI, 2)UTAH, 3)NJ- With Chicago losing out on big name free agents they turn to plan B who can score in the low post and turn the team into a perennial top 4 team in the east. Jerry Sloan want Boozer back. Not as likely for NJ to push for Boozer because they may want Favors to get minutes.
David Lee- I have no clue where he is going. He doesn’t make sense in Minny.
Ray Allen- Boston/Chicago
Mike Miller- Chicago/Miami
Brad Miller- Houston/Portland?0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/07/2010 - 4:08am #348080

yellowdunkerParticipantNot bad those places seems reasonable…..david lee might end up in golden state for a sign and trade for monta ellis besides that your right on the target.

mikeyvthedonParticipantThis is just something that I had honestly thought about a while ago, and is being rumored now, but I believe Amare might make his deal a sign and trade that would give the Suns David Lee. Lee is no Amare as far as overall offensive fire power, but he is a much better rebounder and would be playing in that same Mike D’Antoni type offense that made him an All-Star last year. I am guessing the Suns would take Lee over nothing, and while that might not make them Conference Finals contenders, it will at least maybe make them 4-6 rather than 7-10 in the West. I think it just makes sense, after all the Turkoglu signing happened last year as being straight-up than turned into a multiteam deal, so I can see this being the same. The Golden State thing makes some sense too, though they are clogged with young guys who all play the same position, so I say Monta ends up elsewhere.

joecheck88Participantok, i can see that happening with phoenix. i would definately take david lee over nothing. i just made this post because i thought new york had about a 0% chance of getting lebron and i would now say they are the leaders at probably 40%, cle and mia are at 20%, chicago at 15% and nj at 5%. but atleast it is interesting now.

omphalosParticipantI figure I might as well post mine here too.
LeBron: Nets. If they can get their hands on Pritchard for GM then it becomes even more likely. They have a promising future with deep pocketed owner/Jay-Z as minor owner and new (good) coach in Johnson. Plus LeBron would fill the need they have at SF. 2nd would be Cleveland, just because of loyalty. 3rd, Knicks because of STAT.
Boozer: I agree about Chicago, they need a PF, and hopefully Thibs can make him a better defender. Plus, Boozer is no threat to Rose’s top dog status.
Lee: Bit all over the place, but if I had to pick I’d say Suns, Kings and Nets or GS through S&T.
Ray Allen: Boston. Just because.
Iverson: Knicks. They need to make a splash and could sign him to a 1-year deal to make a splash with STAT before gunning for Melo and Tony Parker next July.
McGrady: I think he’ll resign with the Knicks for a short-term deal if they fail to get LeBron and maybe even if they do. Otherwise, I can see him ending up in Boston.

SpencerIsHawesome2ParticipantKings are not going to sign Lee. Dalembert, Cousins, Thompson, Whiteside, Landry, and Brockman are all under contract, and Petrie said we are looking for a PG/SG so its safe to say there is zero chance we sign a big man

ronniemiller1kParticipantwhy would lebron go to the knicks? cuz of amare? gallo and chandler both play his position…i dont know how anyone could say NY makes sense no matter how big of a factor NY is…everyone else on their roster belongs in the nbdl and most of them have played there

SwatLakeCityParticipantHere are mine
Lebron: Chicago, Cleveland or Nets. He has ties to home so that is a big factor. He can win right now in Chicago which is what he wants. And the Nets had a tremendous meeting, and were one of the first teams to meet with him. They also have a point guard that is willing to coexist with Lebron, unlike Rose who needs the ball to be effective. Harris does not, and he is better than Mo Williams.
Booz: Chicago, Utah, or Nets. I could see another team up for Booz with Lebron.
Lee: Nets, GSW(via S&T). I have heard that the Nets have had close contact with David Lee and really like him. They were also in close contact with Booz, but it sounds like Lee has the upper hand.
Allen: Celtics
as for the others, who knows.0 - AuthorPosts
