OhCanada-ParticipantIf any of Adams, Olynyk, Plumlee, or even Ed Davis, are on waivers go get em and drop Dalembert. Its hard to help without knowing who is available.
Your FG% is going to be very low you may want to look into trade for an effiecient volume shooter or take a risk on a ineffiecient volume shooter you think will improve that this year. My guy for that would be Jared Sullinger who you may get for an underestimated price but some may not wanna give him up for anything.
You need to replace Carter.
Like I said hard to help without seeing your waivers wire.

MattP31ParticipantCould really use help on the boards. I’m a Sixers fan and don’t believe Noel is going to produce a ton of boards based on everything I’ve seen from him and his lack of bulk- he’ll help elsewhere though. Valanciunas(will he break out this year?) and Dalembert(role in NY?) also have some questions. At least you get some help from SG and SF as both of them should produce strong board totals for their positions.

benny15Participantin a standard 2 center league, i normally like to carry 4 eligible centers. i also like to have 3 each of every other position. in your case, youre covered at the PG, SG, and SF spots but could use another PF and C elgible player(s). if you can flip carter or mcbuckets for a quality PF,C type, id do it.
it would be harder to get a fair deal on mcbuckets since people dont know how he’ll translate plus having the time share with dunleavy, but if you can get someone to bite on his potential for equal to better value, id do it.
i also agree with those that say to drop dalembert. its hard to see him get heavy minutes in the triangle. although they have a major need of a bigman, i dont know if he’ll get enough touches. he has late round draft value, but if there are safer names in the waiver wire, like the ones mentioned above, id go with them.
lastly, id try to target 5 categories that you will specialize in. in standard 9 cat head to head leagues, you dont need to own or compete in every category, in fact, i believe its better to just focus on 5 even at the price of sacrificing a few. in your case, i can see maybe you can make a run on 3s, assists, boards, steals and FT%. if you can strengthen these categories while making the points cat a battle, you should be able to make the post-season and rack up some wins there.

ZouldiersParticipantAdd a bigman that gives you boards. Make sure your team is good in at least 5 categories if you want to win. Personally, i take at least 4 bigman for my team. That is all

Memphis MadnessParticipantGo BIG or Go SMALL.
I would say to load up on point guards and centers then find you a legit power forward.
I did my draft and there weren’t many power forwards. Luckily, David West fell and I think he will do ok.
I drafted my wings at the back end of the draft: Wiggins, Jabari Parker, Giannis, Dion Waiters, and Danny Green. Not all of those guys will be hits for me, but I think enough will.
Those are my wings.
I had the third pick which I really didn’t want. This was before the Durant injury and I was deciding between Chris Paul, Steph Curry, Westbrook, and Anthony Davis.
I went with CP3 since he can really, really help you in assists and steals and also scores enough on a decent (for a point guard) field goal percentage. I thought that Westbrook would really fill it up (even before KD got hurt) but I was concerned about his FG% and his TO’s. He is ok, not great at 3’s too.
Davis would have been good too, but I am concerned about his durability. Plus, I could get his blocks and rebounds later in the draft. His assists and 3’s aren’t high enough up there to make his pick a no brainer.
I thought long and hard about Steph Curry, but I usually don’t try to win 3’s, so he wouldn’t have helped me as much.
I got CP3 with the 3rd pick overall. Then paired him with a center in Dwight Howard with my second pick. My other centers are DeAndre Jordan and Marcin Gortat, with other point guards being Mike Conley and Marcus Smart. My power forwards are David West (solid value) and Bargs (stretch four potential with points, blocks, and 3’s).
I am going to give up on TO’s, 3’s, and FT% but try to win everything else. So, I will try to win 6-3.
No HUGE scorers on my team, but CP3, Dwight, and Conley can fill it up. Also predicting solid scoring from at least Jabari Parker and probably Wiggins and Waiters too. David West should give me enough points and rebounds at the 4 spot.
I think I will get steals everywhere. And, blocks everywhere with Wiggins and Smart at backup guard spots.
I am not betting on winning 3’s, but I have some guys who can get them: Danny Green of course, but also Chris Paul and Conley at point guard, Bargs at power forward, and (I hope) Jabari, Waiters, and Wiggins on the wing.
Overall, I would say to go after a few spots to be GREAT in. So get two high tier guys at as many spots as possible. If you can’t do that then go after 3 SOLID players in weaker spots. Then get an extra center if you are going with a BIGS strategy or an extra point guard if you are going with a SMALL strategy.

TimeForNineParticipantI feel like I had an awesome draft on paper, but I really need my team to stay healthy to reach its potential.
PG: Rondo (said he may be back by the opener), Brandon Knight
SG: Harden, Lance Stephenson, Jamal Crawford
SF: Durant (please come back 100%), Josh Smith, Giannis, Iggy
PF: Tobias Harris (most of my C’s and Josh Smith have 4 eligibility)
C: Drummond, Horford, Spencer Hawes

OhCanada-ParticipantJosh Smith was incredibly underrated this year due to his bad FG%. I took him late 3rd round early 4th in every league Im in. You would think someone with career averages 15-ppg, 8-rpg, 3-apg, 1-spg, 2-bpg, and 46%FG would get a bit more respect and not have 60-80 players go ahead of him.
