I am so tired of the ‘less athletic’ ‘more athletic’ comparisons, it’s annoying. If the person is either more or less athletic then compare them to someone who is more similar. I am a ‘less athletic’ version of Wade….way less.

^ Agreed. I didn’t want to go off on a rant and Iggy, I didn’t thumb you down, I just meant be more specific if anything. Hinrich is a 6’3 guy who can dunk and plays in the NBA so clearly he is an athlete. It’s like in a prior post someone said a prospect was just like Monta but with less O and more D. That is pretty ridiculous.

Hope it wasn’t you as well Iggy! I’d be digging a grave here buddy

here’s the thing, a lot of people compare prospects to NBA guys based on Projected STATS. That’s just stupid.

Like Honestly, I’d rather see people compare players based on their shot releases, dribble height, defensive intensity, and playmaking ability.

Like honestly, I don’t want to project a player’s potential because 90% of the time, they don’t reach that potential. If I were to compare John Wall to anyone right now, I’d say a young Ronnie Price. This is not based on potential, but the way they handle themselves on the court and skill set.

Oh guys, BTW, I’m a Bigger, less athletic Version of Nate Robinson. LMAO

I agree on most of them except for Monroe- Gasol. Gasol can’t pass as well as Monroe can. Monroe can pass very well for a big man. You should have seen him play against Villanova. He was passing like a PG can. I think he is more like Chris Webber. The rest I agree with.

I don’t think he’s much like Ellis at all to be honest…..I don’t think Bradley will ever be that type of scorer. That wasn’t me. I guess a good comparison for Bradley is Shannon Brown(?)

Just being honest here, D-Wade has, IMO top 3 in NBA PG skills. His assist numbers aren’t high, but that’s because he needs to carry the offense. There’s no way John Wall can EVER have more PG skills than D Wade in his prime. simple as that.

Iggy, it wasn’t Bradley. I can’t remember who the prospect was. It was earlier in the week. And Wade avg 6.4 asts. That is 9th in the league. That is pretty high.

tli— you losing some cred with me saying that Wade has and will have more point guard skills then John Wall. Wall may be inconsistent now but he is a true point and the Ronnie Price comparison. I know early on with the hype Ronnie was up there but he was never really a play maker just a super athletic dude and has not done much in the pros.

I can sorta understand what tli232 is saying

“The easiest way to generate offense in the NBA is to have a guy that can draw double teams, either in the low post or on the perimeter. But Charlotte’s best scorer is Gerald Wallace, a slasher who averaged just 16.6 points per game last season (42nd in the league) and isn’t adept at creating shots for himself or others.

In some ways, Allen Iverson would be a great fit. He’s a guy who can get into the paint, draw defenders and score in his sleep. Brown helped Iverson achieve his greatest level of team success in the NBA when both individuals were in Philly. Brown has also given his former player an endorsement this summer, but the Bobcats haven’t made Iverson a contract offer (something the Grizzlies reportedly did this week).”

Unconventionally thinking the player who runs the offense and generates the most offense
Nowadays is usually the “point guard”
