I don’t mind people posting about their favorite teams all the time but when you start a new thread to discuss topics that have been beaten to death it gets annoying.

I also thought you started the other thread about the Lakers but you didn’t so I halfarsed apologize….I still am so sick of all the Lakers talk. Portland will be better than they are this year but we have had about 40 Lakers posts since the last Blazers post. Even the Clippers who are clearly top dog in LA have been outposted 20 to 1 by Lakers posts.

I would hate to see how many people come out of the woodwork to talk Lakers if they were actually good…

You’ve got it backwards. There are far less laker posts on here when they are good. It’s when they are down and everyone wants to get their licks in that all the haters come out in full force. There wasnt close to this much lakers talk on here in 2009 & 2010 when they were champs.

That is because the website wasn’t as popular back then. If you look most of the Lakers threads they are started by people who have joined this year. On the first page of the forum there were 5 Lakers threads and none of them were negative to start with. They were all the same thing pretty much talking about “what to do next”.

I would imagine that at least 4000 of your 11000 posts have been about the Lakers so of course you would come to defend them. West Coast Bias….

The OP is clearly a little slow. I was just busting on you about the Lakers posting #s. I recall having quite a few interactions with you dealing with college hoops and other topics. Averaging 6.5 posts per day for 5 years is impressive and gives you the right to post about whatever your heart desires…even if it is the crappy overhyped Lakers.

Most Lakers posts I have read are all about next summer and all the prime time free agents they will sign because “They are the Lakers”. You don’t see any posts about all the cap room teams like the Mavs will have and how many great players they can bring in. As a self proclaimed Laker hater it just bugs me to see so much about them popping up here constantly…especially when it deals with things that are over 300 days away.

Even people on TV who should know better are saying things like they can go after Kyrie Irving next summer (who is an RFA and will 100% be retained by Cleveland). I am just sick of the Lakers talk and the feeling that because they are the Lakers they can’t be down for long. That is why there are so many bandwagon fans (not calling you one)…but when a new person pops up here and just starts pointless threads about the Lakers it warrants one of my rants.

Nick Young will probably start at small forward…I don’t think LA will be really good this season, they sucked last year and they haven’t gotten rid of D’Antoni yet so I anticipate them sucking again this year
