valentineFirst of all.. I am dedicating this post to the dude who said Lebron wasn’t in his top 5 for the MVP race this year (down syndromatic thoughts).
Second, ALOT of people thought Davis was going to win it.. yet, his team sucks right now, im not even sure they’ll make the playoffs..
Curry is cooling off right now, Durant is injured again and doesn’t seem to really fit (again) next to Westbrook, they are both taking themselves away from the race IMO..
Harden is meh, had 1 good scoring game, but is team is not playing well, and he’s hasn’t shot the ball really well..
Finally.. I honestly think Lebron can win another award this year.. He’s been taking it a little slow in the beginning, but has had great 4th quarter performance recently and showing he is still the best player in the game. Once Kyrie and Shump get back.. watch out NBA..

Arc12345ParticipantGriffin has played well, but I can’t have him that high in the race. I’d rather have Drummond on my team right now.

Jr. ROXASParticipantWhat? Griffin is averaging 28, 10 and 4 per game while being the focal point in offense like 80 percent of the time and the defense keyed on him. Paul has fallen off a little bit this season and Doc has been relying a lot on Blake lately. Griffin is getting pretty underrated by the casual fan nowadays.

Arc12345ParticipantI’m not saying he doesn’t deserved to be mentioned. But literally you’re saying he’s been the 2nd best player in the NBA? Not to me sorry. He has played well! But not that well…
When I think MVP, I think who would I want on me team right now if I had to win a game tomorrow based on how everyone’s playing. Sorry, Blake isn’t 2nd to me.

SkalAndJamalParticipantI know Durant is scoring at will… But Kawhi and George are shouldering the load for their team on both ends. Westbrook has definitely been more valuable than KD too.

Memphisboy14ParticipantI know he’s not gonna win but what about Damian Lillard. He’s been playing great and has been the catalyst for at least keeping the Trailblazers competitive.

Reptilian MonkParticipantAgreed Some other guys in the discussion would have to be Damian Lillard, Kawhi Leonard, and Paul George.

Memphis MadnessParticipantI would be surprised if someone other than Curry, LeBron, Blake Griffin, Westbrook, and Durant won the MVP award. Andre Drummond is clearly top 10 right now and maybe top 5, but I think he has to literally average 20 and 20 to win the award.
Anthony Davis started slow, and is basically averaging the same stats he did 3 years ago except for a few more points a night.
Harden is good, but the same as he has been the past couple of years, and the Rockets aren’t elite.
Steph Curry is at the top of the leader board at the moment. LeBron is right there. I think voters like to give it to guys on the best team. And, the two best teams at the moment are the Warriors and the Cavs.
1st team All NBA
G Steph Curry
G Russell Westbrook
F LeBron
F Blake Griffin
C Andre Drummond
So, that leaves Kevin Durant and some other guys on the 2nd team. Probably Durant, I see Davis picking it up (but until then, Kawhi Leonard is a 2nd teamer), with Harden and Lillard at guard, and then a center. Maybe Cousins. Or Rudy Gobert.
Possible sleeper picks include Andrew Wiggins on the T Wolves. He has gone for over 30 points in his past two games. What about Towns if he keeps it up? Not only a possible All Star pick but a possible All NBA 3rd team center. But, of course, it’s early.
