Lafferty DanielParticipantClearly teams from the North will be an awful destination for most of the weak ass NBA players. Silver and the NBA should really consider moving the heart of the NBA regular season to the summer months so the divas can play in warm weather no matter what during the regular season.

Scott42444ParticipantI wouldn’t be totally against that, but I think it would have an adverse effect on the northern teams. The way it stands now, guys in cold weather are traveling and playing inside during the winter. During the summer, when they have all the free time they want they can experience summer wherever they play. So from a "player’s desire" standpoint I think it actually hurts cold weather teams to play in the summer.
But, to escape the NFL and NHL and compete mostly against only the excrutiatingly long MLB season (especially for me, I’m a Cubs/Kane County Cougars fan <— that’s a joke fellow Cubs fans would get), it wouldn’t be a terrible business idea IMHO.

frogmanParticipantYou’re from Canada so you might not realise they play a little sport called Baseball in the USA everyday for like 6 months over Summer. There isn’t much point in having a trillion sports games a day in Summer and then just NFL every Sunday in the Winter.

Lafferty DanielParticipantI live in LA, so I know a bit about baseball. Thanks though.
I’m more worried about the NBA alienating fans from non-snowbird destinations. You know, most of the cities that make up the Eastern Conference…

frogmanParticipantI don’t know what the problem is as it’s been working for many decades. There is just no way they are going to change it.

GrandmamaParticipantYou’re saying this all because Lavine looked upset getting drafted by Minnesota? Get the f*ck outta here with that nonsense.
