Which player do you think is the most versatile. There are many people who can dribble, post, shoot, and pass who also happen to be 6’10. These are players who are tall enough to be a PF but you’ll see them dribbling the ball to the hole and shooting from distance also.But who is the most versatile? Some nominations

And many others I may have forgotten.
I left some people off my list because they’re people who I don’t see dribbling the ball up the court as often as players on the list. There are many to be considered and who do you think is the most versatile?

Right now I’d go with Odom because he is the most complete package (read: he can play defense)

I think Durant will take the spot as the most versatile player in a year or two, just needs to step up the defense a little.

Odom No doubt…….he can do everthing, if he had Crazy work ethic from the start of his career he would have been one of the best….triple double stuff no doubt

ok if u take one inch off of that its lebron james, its not even close, he can do everything, when talking about versatility i think u guys forgot to include defense, james can guard 4 positions easily, and 5 if the other team is playing small, all people listed above can play the 2,3,4, easily on offense but on defense they have their short comings. Odom if he actually tried all the time is number 2 becuz es quick and big enough to guard the postions when he wants to, untill durant gets bigger or his defense catches up with his offense hes number 3

yeah he played every position but he had one year where he actually played good,but james can play every postion and be the best at everyone both offensively and defensively, what pg, sg,sf,pf can actually guard him nevermind find me a person in the entire league that can, and lebron when he puts his mind to it can guard alomst every person in the league, of course their are the exceptions like rose, harris D howard paul,

Back in the day probably Oscar Robertson and Magic Johnson, present time def Lebron, also remember when KG used to bring up the ball and play some PG for the Wolves in the playoffs, but at the same time his team was so sorry back then…

he played PG in the MIN-LA conference finals, guarded lots of SG’s during his career, started as SF when rasho and joe smith was still in minny, man handled odom in the NBA finals, pawned Pau as well and guarded shaq during the playoffs as well. not bad for a 6’11 PF. and he has the NBA record for most consecutive seasons with 20-10-5. in his MVP season, averaged 6asts per game. nuff said.

A 7’5” center with a good ouside jumper, a larger variety of low post moves than most centers since the late 90’s, and a great passer out of the post, a limited athlete, but from a center’s perspective I give Yao most versatile center, too bad his career might be over

i wouldn’t call him the best for sure, but i think tayshaun prince deserves recognition. He played 1-4 on a nightly basis for detroit last year, i just hope he doesn’t have to again, it’s gotta take a toll on you.

This is hands down Borris Diaw. The man is a legit 6’9 point guard. He’s got if not the best a top 3 passing ability from a big man. He can defend any position on the court and he is finally finding his nitche within the NBA. People forget how much of a play maker he really was from his Atlanta and Phoenix days. It doesn’t help that he’s lost in Charlotte now. I look at your list and I don’t see a single player that can match Diaw’s versatility. It’s a shame.

Probably Lebron although he never seems to post up and punish people with his physique. Odom, Diaw, Jeff Green, and Anthony Randolph all also come to mind. Odom is the best ball handling pf in the game and I love watching him rip down a rebound and lead the break like a pg.
