Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantLast season, this question was asked.. Who’s the most underrated player, and we had many answers that said Chris Bosh was the most underrated.
Now I’m here to ask it again, who’s the most underrated player? I don’t mean a mid level player or an average player, I mean top notch players who don’t get enough credit.
I have to go for Josh Smith, he’s easily in the conversation for top 5 of PFs
16ppg, 9.7rpg, 4apg, 3.3bpg, 1.2spg
those stats are very good, he’s a good passer for a big man and he plays good defense, he hustles a lot on plays and even though he’s not the biggest guy on defense, his athleticism makes up for his lack of size. Not only that, his 3ball is starting to drop this year, shooting 7-15 in the first 12 games, if the 3 ball continues to fall for him, he will be unstoppable and the Hawks will turn into his team rather than Joe Johnson in a couple of years.
He leads the Hawks in every category except Scoring (JJ 19ppg, Horford 17ppg) FG% (Horford 64%), Assists (Johnson 5apg) and FTA (he has 4.1 and JJ has 4.8)

ShekiruBoomParticipanti have rondo at 4 lol. behind cp3,dwill and rose. i think those were justified picks lol. and for josh smith, i mean is he really underrated? i think of him as a low level star and i think thats pretty appropriate for a 16ppg, 9.7rpg, 4apg, 3.3bpg, 1.2spg line. i mean its not like he can lead a team which would make him a full fledged star/superstar or like peole think of him as a role player which he clearly isn’t.

BasterdInABasketParticipantScola (23 & 10) & Millsap (22 & 10) come to mind. People are starting to recognize Millsap after that Miami performance though. Smith should be an all-star this year. Hes having the best year of his career (16, 10 & 3.3 blks). He doesnt change games to the level that Dwight does but hes right up there even at 6-9.

nbaretroParticipantI’m going with Eric Gordon and Rudy Gay
Gordon seems to attack the basket with more force this season from what I see. Rudy Gay has stepped up alot as well.

The Splash DocParticipantGuys that dont get recognized for what they do like.
Luis Scola-Paul Millsap-Arron Afflalo-Josh Smith
but the most under rated player IMO is truly Carmelo Anthony here’s why
Kobe-LeBron-Durant-Wade get all the attention and he is truly on the same level as all of them.
He is making a huge effort this year on the boards and playing great defense a long with gettin teammates involved this year yet LeBron is in the MVP convo and he isnt he averages more points, rebounds, he is shooting better and the teams have almost identical records. Carmelo is truly under rated more than any player in the NBA this is jus my opinion
