Who do you think the most underrated player in class 2012 is?

I think it is Gabe York. I always see him in the 50-60 range,to me their is no way this guy is not top 20 player in the class. He has range, great handle, athletic and attacks the basket. I haven’t seen to many guards better in the class.

Tony Worton Prehaps, hes mocked to go 26th, think he should go highter (teams need to consider how young he still is/ born 1993, 3 years yonger then players like lillard) and still put up 16+ ppg with a pretty good team

from the highlights ive seen ill go with montrezl harrell. he is a beast and has a very high motor. he dunks everything, rebounds well out of his area, and is a good shot blocker(not just weak side he was blocking dunk attempts in the highlights). he has decent handle for his size and really excels at getting to the rim and finishing. didnt see him shoot alot but he didnt need to. reminds me of alex poythress but is only ranked between 80-100 on most sites. either way hes a nice recruit for va tech. wonder if they’ll be able to keep him with greenberg recently getting fired?

I like Gabe York a lot…the thing is he’s very undersized for a sg and will prob play some pg at Arizona and needs to work on that part of his game.  That being said, he was one of the most exciting players in high school this year. Quick article from last week about Gabe with his senior year highlights.

@cmon’ craig: Really like Harrell also…mentioned him the other day and his NASTY performance at the Regional Jordan Brand Classic game.  Kid could have been a nice pick up for V-Tech if he stays committed.

@LazrusMunoz I was going to mention Howell…but…you beat me to it….kid has DEEP range!!!

Here are a few I feel are underrated:

#28 Devonta Pollard: Undeclared: Versatile sf who is super athletic.  Missed McDonald’s game because of a concussion

#45 Elijah Macon: West Virginia: Strong pf who could become a beast down low for Bob Huggins.

#53 Winston Shepard: San Diego State: Another versatile sf who might be able to guard all 4 positions in college.

#82 Fred Van Vleet: Wichita State: Will become a big time player for Wichita State…Book it!!!

#100 Savon Goodman: Undeclared: Probably this low because he has a tendencay to lose his cool…but…whatever college program lands this kid…they got a baller for sure.

    And…my personal favorite…

#47 Katin Reinhardt: UNLV: Possibly the best shooter in high school…I watched Katin light up Christ the King and Omar Calhoun for 35 points including 9 three-pointers at the Spalding Hoophall Classic. At 6’5” with his range & athleticism…reminds me of a bigger, stronger, more athletic Kevin Pangos.

Here is a quick article about Katin from last month.  Have some nice videos of his senior year from BallisLife…and at the end of the article is the entire game of his 35 point game from the 2012 Spalding Hoophall Classic.

6-7/200 SF from DeMatha headed to Syracuse. #64 Rivals/#37 ESPN. Son of Harvey Grant, who played 12 years and averaged close to 20 ppg for a three season stretch. A lot like C.J. Fair. Great hustle forward who can post up and hit an open 18-footer, if not many contested twos yet. Awesome defender, can guard four positions. I can see Boeheim taking a real liking to him early on and I think he’ll be a great four year player for Cuse.

I was going to say Grant too.  Since he’s already listed I’ll say his HS/AAU teammate James Robinson.  Robinson is not a flashy athletic PG but he damn sure can run an offense a lot better than most PGs in this class.  He was the most dominating PG in my eyes on the EYBL circuit in summer 2010 when Team Takeover won the Peach Jam and he was great in 2011 when Team Takeover went unbeaten in regular sessions.
