The8thDeadlySinParticipantWho is going to be the most improved rookie from the 2009 class?
Personally, I think it will be Joe Alexander. He will be starting at the SF and will probably be the 3 option for the Bucks. He and Jennings are going to be the only guys who can take their men off the dribble. Jennings, being so small, will not get that call much so I see Joe as that go to guy for “1 on 1” situations.
I also think that Anthony Randolf will show some strides in his game. I dont know if he can be great untill he is the number one option tho. He needs the ball in his hands to be successful.
Who are your most improved Rookies from the 2009 draft class??

D HampParticipantProbably not the Knicks 2008 lottery pick. What a waste.
Dhamp = the new Hubie Brown….the name you can trust….Smoother than Doug Collins balding head.

HaleParticipantUmm I see Rose taking a big step forward, I also expect Speights to get more minutes and produce, DeAndre Jordan, Alexander as stated above and I think Brook Lopez will put up very good numbers without Carters 20 shots per game.

JoeWolf1Mario Chalmers is going to emerge as an elite defender at point guard and paired with his IQ and shooting touch look for him to become have one of the best sophmore seasons. Beasley is a pure scorer and was averaging close to 20 a game the last few weeks in the season when they started him, with O’Neal getting older Beasley is going to step in and drop a lot of points next season, and he is a pretty good offensive rebounder too as well as ambidextrous

sheltwon3ParticipantThere are so many Rookies that will make the jump that I will say this if Randolph gets minutes he should make the biggest jump but Beastly will be close because Beastly should have average a lot his first year but did not get the minutes.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 10:41am #182734

The8thDeadlySinParticipantMan…I forgot about Brook Lopez. He is going to be a top 3 center in the East. Behind Howard, Shaq, and maybe Garnett or Wallace. Thats a big maybe there.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 10:42am #182735

sheltwon3ParticipantDhamp i remember something you said about the Knicks and using Thomas scouting ability. Thomas gave the ok on Galinari before he left because he was already scouting dude.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 10:42am #182736

The8thDeadlySinParticipantThe only thing about Beasley is that the Heat are trying to get both Boozer and Odom. IF that happens, he will come off the bench again.

jojososaParticipantRussell Westbrook make every1 around him better and not to mention he makes his presence felt on d
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 10:50am #182750

JoeWolf1Kevin Love too, he’s gonna get pt in Minnesota, and he had a pretty good rookie season, i think he’ll average a double-double next season 14 and 10 or something like that, the first rookie in that class to average a double-double in my opinion, I think Lopez will improve his rebounding numbers but i don’t think he’ll jump from 8.1 to 10 plus next year
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 10:52am #182751
darko4prezParticipantLove, Randolph, Beasley, and Deandre Jordan if the clips move Kaman or Camby.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 10:52am #182752

HaleParticipantI agree Love will improve to about 14 and 10 or 11 put I think he won’t get a whole lot better then that. i think his ceiling is about 16-17 and 12. Still very good numbers though.

D HampParticipantThomas didn’t have the final say. And this is the first time Dhamp has been called a hater.

rickyD510Participantdanillo gallanari cuz he pretty much missed his rookie season and hes a 6’10 shooter and has plenty of room to improve and thrive in dantonis system

BasketballGuru24ParticipantBrook Lopez…….for sure, this guy is going to be one of the best centers in a few years

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantGreg Oden will be improved. Bayless probably too since he will have more playing time.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 11:08am #182782

ChicagoHope32ParticipantThere were alot of good rookies last year. One of the best classes ever, but the rookie that will take the biggest leap is…Derrick Rose. Call me a homer! He was already the Rookie of the Year, but he’s gonna be regarded as one of the best PG’s in the league this year. I know some people say that the departure of Ben Gordon might hurt him, but I think since he has one year under his belt and he works hard, he’ll be ready. Anthony Randolph is gonna be better too. Looks like he put on some weight in the off season. Not so skinny anymore. Look out for Beasley, Eric Gordon, and Chalmers. A lot of good sophmores. As for this year’s rookie class…That’s another story.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 11:11am #182790

sameolGParticipantAnthony Randolph is going to improve a lot with scoring and rebounds… he would average more but Beidrins is such a hog on the boards it’ll be tough
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 11:34am #182830

JNixonParticipantI think its Anthony Randolph and Russell Westbrook that are primed for huge improvements
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 11:38am #182840

Mr. BasketballParticipantrandolph, jordan, maybe courtney lee with more playing time on new jersey.

sakuragi84Participantknicksboy34, i don’t care if i get negative points for this but it’s been bothering me.
“D-Hamp….your a idiot”
come on, it’s you’re not “your”. also, it should be an not a. you don’t have to use perfect grammar but at least use the right word. but you’re right, he’s an idiot.0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 11:52am #182857

MagikKnickParticipantits the internet, holy shyt, why does grammar matter
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 11:56am #182866
sakuragi84Participantbecause people get so used to it that they use in every day writing and people just get dumber and dumber. i can’t tell you how many times i’ve seen the your-you’re mistake in school and professional settings. that’s why it matters.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 1:12pm #182906

JNixonParticipantSounds like you need to be an English teacher sir lol

0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 1:27pm #182910
fliptonnParticipanti say eric gordon. he didnt even get a chance till january and since then hes been absolutely killin it
beasley too if he steps up his defense, the guy averages 14 a game on less than 25 min a game, imagine if he boosted that up to 40 min and actually had a role in the offense? this is of course if they dont sign boozer
and look for my personal favorite player from the 08 draft jerryd bayless to come up big if he can secure that starting PG role in portland
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 1:35pm #182915
AZcats09ParticipantI’m biased, but I think Bayless should improve very much if he can get some PT..
Anthony Randolph looks to have bulked up a bit, and he has the talent to be an all star. With good minutes in the Warriors system he could put up huge numbers.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 2:32pm #182937

The8thDeadlySinParticipantSo does anyone think that maybe Bill Walker or JR Giddens will break the Celtics lineup and show some improvement. Or CDR. I’m think about some second rounders that were pretty good in college. What about the big man for Indiana, Hibbert (i know he was a first round), or maybe Kusta Kufos? Personaly I dont think but like 1 or two of these guys are going to be stand-outish.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 3:02pm #182955
maravich44ParticipantRose, Beasley, Oden,Chalmers and Eric Gordon. These players all had good to very good rookie years with the exception of Oden (arguably). I look for these guys to all make big strides to become larger stars in the game. I have a big dislike for Gordon sinsc he jilted University of Illinois for Indiana, but he is a very good player.
