Bargnani really wasn’t that hyped. I remember that draft being pretty borring, and I was hyping Aldridge at the time more than Andrea. I’d have Kwame ranked alot higher. I’d prob put Dwight at #4 and Kwame at #5 and move Bargnani all the way down to #9.

Yao was tremendously hyped as well as Kwame Brown. So is Wall.

How can you have Derrick Rose as the #2 most hyped top draft pick in the last decade and ahead of Yao Ming? During that year, some teams actually had Michael Beasley ranked ahead of Rose, and Rose’s Freshman season didn’t really generate that much buzz until the NCAA tournament. It was Michael Beasley who was getting all the publicity because of his domination throughout the year.

i dont get how you can put rose at 2 and wall at 7 wall is the most hyped player since lebron rose did not get talked about until the ncaa tourney and was even looked at as a top 5 pick comming out of HS when u had mayo,beasley, gordan, bayless and love

the only no brainers on there for first overall pick were Lebron, oden, griffin and wall.

A lot of people thought yao was a gamble and that jay will should go first but houston already had francis at pg and needed a center. Dwight vs okafor was up for debate. Kwame had to outplay chandler in some individual workouts to get the number 1 slot. rose moved past beasley after workouts. Bogut and barganni were both solid number 1’s all along but mostly becasue no one else stood out in those drafts and they were big men with upside.

I no this has little to do with the draft but this whole Lebron to wherever is the most hyped thing i have ever seen except for Brett Farve
