Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantDid you know?…
If Derrick Rose continues to average his current stats, he will be the youngest player in NBA history to average 24+ PPG, 8+ APG, 4+ RPG and lead his team to a winning record.
If Dwight Howard continues to average his current stats of 22+ PPG, 13.5+ RPG, 2+ BPG, it will be the 4th instance in the last 20 years in which that happened. The other three? Rookie Shaquille O’Neal (Rookie of the Year), ’99-’00 Shaquille O’Neal (’00 MVP) and ’03-’04 Kevin Garnett (’04 MVP).
If Russell Westbrook continues to average his current stats, he will be the 2nd youngest player in NBA history average 22+ PPG, 8+ APG, 5+ RPG. The first, Oscar Robertson. (12 day difference)
If Nene continues to average his current stats, he will be the 3rd player in NBA history to shoot better than 64% from the field, 15+ PPG, 7 + RPG. (Wilt Chamberlain, Artis Gilmore (twice))
If Stephen Curry continues to average his current stats, he will be the 1st player in NBA history to shoot 40%+ 3PT FG, 93%+ FT, and score 19+ PPG.
If Andris Biedrins continues to average his current stats, he will be the first starter in NBA history to ever shoot 36%- FT and commit 3.5+ FPG.
If Kevin Love continues to average his current stats, he will be the first player in NBA history to average 20+ PPG, 15+ RPG, and make atleast 1 3pter. (69 made)
If Chris Paul continues to average his current stats, he will be the first player in NBA history to average 9.5+ APG, 2.5- TPG, 40%+ 3PT FG. (2nd season straight)
If Rajon Rondo continues to average his current stats, he will be the youngest player in NBA history to average 12+ APG and 2.5+SPG.

They would each hold a different recognition. DRose is in the category of 24+ PPG while Russell isn’t, but Russell is in the category of 5+ RPG, while DRose isn’t.
I sort of nitpicked there, but they would each be the youngest in their own category.

JNixonParticipantCool stuff.
Russell Westbrook and Rose really are having great years. I thought they’d both level off at least a little, sort of like Devin Harris did during his All-Star year, but they’ve maintained and are leading their teams. Some more than others though.

midwestbbscoutParticipantits amazing to me that Love puts up those kind of rebounding numbers playing away from the basket so much…..I am curious to how many rebounds he gets in proportion to when he plays under the basket….
