Who has more potential to become the better player, and who do you think wil be better?

    Javale Mcgee or DeAndre Jordan?

Thats a seriously tough question but I’d go with McGee because he has alot of the moves already, and I think he can have a wider variety with time. He is athletic and smooth. When he gets stronger and tougher, he will be an all-star level player no doubt. I dont ever see DeAndre Jordan getting alot more moves besides the jump hook he has and maybe a few more basic ones. He is more athletic than McGee but not by that much and he isnt as good a defender. McGee also has a better basketball IQ.

Jordan has both categories. I think he’s more polished even though neither of them have a lot of skills at this point in their careers

I agree thatt McGee will be the better player, I believe they will both be good bigmen in the league, both athletic, and big. And I agree with everything you said, but I do think they will both be good players in the league.

Great question R-Dot, both McGee and Jordan are incredibly talented, young, and raw. Most casual NBA fans probably wouldn’t recognize either of these names but I feel they each have very bright futures ahead of them. At this point its tough to pick one over the other but I might have to go with McGee just based on the fact of his insane wingspan, agility and shot-blocking ability.

McGee, very athletic for his size, terrific shot blocker, has a better basketball IQ, and is more advanced in the post than Jordan.

    DeAndre Jordan

McGee didn’t really grasp what it took to be a good centre last season, but Jordan showed flashes in some games.

I dont watch alot of Clipper basketball so I dont see Jordan much, but does he really have the athletic ability that Dwight Howard has?? I just cant see him being like that. If he was, wouldnt he be on SportsCenter more?? I’m not saying that he doesnt, just wondering if he does.

I think Jordan has more potential because he has more ups and owns the same wingspan that McGee has. I would prefer McGee however, because he has more of a chance to reach his potential because he has a little more skill and b-ball IQ. I also like McGee better because he’s a little quicker despite not having as much ups as Jordan, quickness will allow him to help off the weak side quicker so he’ll have more opportunities to block shots.

And also FutureoftheGame Jordan is compared athletically to Howard because they both are near 7 foot and have similar hops and wingspan + speed. Coming into the league Howard wasn’t the athlete he was today, he was a “raw athlete” he could simply run and jump. Coming into the league Howard wasn’t nearly as strong as he is today, he developed that and he maintained his agility and leaping ability through explosive training this makes him a much better athlete overall. DeAndre Jordan has yet to develop the body that Howard possesses, but he could certainly develop that with the correct strength training in combination with lots of plyometrics, and etc. Doing that will allow him to get in post position to make those high light dunks/blocks that Dwight can do, however he probably won’t be anywhere near Dwight’s level in terms of play.

Thanks! I didnt realize that he could jump and run like Howard. Because IMO, Howard is the most athletic big in the league. You get a point my friend.

has the potential to be better but i feel javale is better. Javale is jus a monster. from wat ive seen he has ok go to moves and is a deer when running the floor. he also has the potential 2 hit the mid range jumper. i think that mcgee will work harde than jordan and therefore that will set them apart. althogh i really want 2 see wat jordan could be i dont know if he will pan out
