ChoppyParticipantSo LaMelo has just become the youngest player in NBL history to drop a triple double. And it included the trying clutch 3 pointer in regulation that sent it to overtime in what turned out to be a win for the Illawarra Hawks.
I know it was Cairns and they’re not very good, but Ball is playing much more consistent lately. Next up for Ball is RJ and the Breakers.

OhCanada-ParticipantHis shooting percentage is very low. 38% FG, 25% 3PT. What would you say is the reason for this. Shot selection, just getting used to things, physicality or is his shot just broken?
Both teams also suck. Illwara Hawks and New Zealand Breakers are both 2-8. Hampton is a bit more effecient less productive but shoots lower than 60% FT’s.2+- Posted on: Mon, 11/25/2019 - 7:23am #1222601

r377Participantlavar ball has alot to answer for. Both his sons have unorthodox jump shots which hurt their game massively. With the kids throwing up so many 3s you really need to have a good long distance jumpshot.
Lamelo shoots too low on his release, he really needs to come up higher.
The NBL is a good competition with physical men. To get a triple double is a huge statement.
Which Ball brother will be better ?

ChoppyParticipantI think he’s more consistent of late. He had some bad games to start – I think he was 1 – 12 from 3 at one point. He’s also 18 and running the point in a pro league. I’d have been massively surprised if he didn’t have growing pains. I can’t comment on his shot – my analysis of technique is sorely lacking. I will say his shot looks “loose”, like he’s kicking his legs forward when he shoots. To me I think looks weird. Others may be able to provide better insight.

r377ParticipantLamelo has good ball handling skills and can actually take it to the rim unlike his brother. NBL season is not even half way through yet.
here are some highlights, keep in mind his jump shot is still suss but other than that he looks promising. Love that left handed hesitation dribble move
