NBAexpert82ParticipantI don’t understand how this guy fell all the way to the second round. I thought he was sure to be a lottery pick or at least top twenty.

juves4783Participantyeah, really wierd. i wonder if he didn’t work out for the people in the back end of the draft. surprised that boston didn’t grab him at the end of the first but hard to argue when a shooter like hunter was available. i heard harrell really wowed people in dallas but they really needed a pg or sg. i think toronto and washington both surprised me by not picking up a pf.

ShwiggydogParticipantSome of the concerns with him is that he is rather undersized (his wingspan helps to compensate for this) and he’s not very offensively skilled. I thought he’d fall somewhere towards the end of the first, but ended up early second. I think it will probably work out for him better on a playoff team like Houston

NBAexpert82ParticipantBad draft for the celtics, Harrell will be a top twenty player in draft.

r377ParticipantThis draft was pretty deep. While the first 15 or so were set, the next 20 selections all could have varied so much.
Nobody would of said anything if Harrell, Brown, Mickey and Hernangomez all went in the first round.
And nobody would of been surprised if Rozier, Martin, Milutinov, Nance, Hunter and McCullough all slipped to the early second round….

T RexI heard somewhere that teams were concerned with Harrell’s focus level. He wasn’t always locked in in games, probably mostly from being so emotional.
Something like that. I would have been content with Harrell at 16 for my Celtics, but Mickey at 33 is arguably no worse than Harrell at 16 or 28 or 33.

sitlbitoParticipant"probably mostly from being so emotional" I agree 100%. Everyone was saying he plays with emotion, but that’s not emotion, that’s craziness. Everytime I watched him I was like "calm down dude"
