Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantI’m a Rockets fan and I was very impressed with our defense on Monta.. but this kid was just hitting everything.. He was swishing impossible shots, stopping on a dime and hitting leaners, fade aways, floaters, and layups around extended arms.. Nothing we could do.. he just had one of those games..

Mr. 19134ParticipantI remember wondering how Monta Ellis and Lou Williams fell so far in the draft coming out of high school.
Ellis averaged over 40 points a game in high school. And Williams was arguably the best high school player that year especially combined with his athletic ability. If Williams would of went to Georgia he would of no doubt eventually been a top 10 pick.
But Ellis is so underrated as a player. I really think he could lead the league in scoring this year and if anything he will be the NBA’s highest scoring guard behind Melo, and KD in the scoring department.
Ellis’ touch in the mid range area is unreal. He can get everything to fall.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantAnd he’s so quick and has a quick release as well. He’s also a pretty good defender, he always gives Kobe trouble when LA comes to town. Pesky and solid on defense and very tenacious.

Mr. 19134ParticipantYeah I’m an Ellis fan he is so fun to watch. After watching every Allen Iverson game for ten years just tear thru the league as an undersized shooting guard that destroyed opponents with quickness, speed, and just creative control in traffic I have been looking for a fix since he left his prime. Wade isn’t undersized he is like 6’5 with a 6’11 wingspan and is so strong.
But Ellis fits that bill. Ellis is only like 6’3 and isn’t extremely well built. Ellis gets into traffic, draws a crown, elevates, then does something you don’t see often.

PureshooterParticipantYeah, he is unbelievably quick. Slight build, not very tall, but if you play close he goes by and if you give him room he hits the jumper.

OhCanada-ParticipantPlease done ever compare a basketball player to Jesus, God, or any other divine source…If you do that then your just another sap brainwashed by the mass media, and you shouldnt even be given the responsibility to watch basketball because you cant handle it.
Im willing to bet he keeps this up, he is more then capable of averaging 30 ppg. In G-States former offense people thought that Monta was getting extra shots due to the system, (including myself). The truth is other people were jacking up bad shots and taking shots away from him. With this new look Warrior team, if they can stay above .500 throughout the season we will be hearing MVP talk for Monta Ellis.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantNever though of Monta as an MVP candidate. Hmm.. it actually sounds possible for him to be a 28-5-5 guy. I still think CP3 has a very good chance at MVP.

Durant
Howard
Rose

sheltwon3ParticipantMonta looks like his off court maturity will make him an All Star, MVP candidate and also the leader of a possible Western Conference playoff team. GSW looked good last night. Curry is the real deal. How did Minny screw up in last years draft. It seems like everybody got a good player but them. Flynn is hurt and Rubio is trying to exit before he even arrived.
