Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantI’ve never been a big Monta Ellis fan but boy has be been balling this season.
- 23.6 PPG
- 5.4 APG
- 3.4 RPG
- 1.6 SPG
- 49% FG
- 38% 3PT
- 7.4 FT/PG shooting 82%
Not only that, but Dallas is 9-5.
Playing efficiently, having a great all-around season, and winning. Something we’re not used to seeing from Monta.
Any chance he makes the All-Star team in the stacked West that includes Harden, Westbrook, Parker, Curry, Kobe (?), CP3.

Bird_YearsParticipantHasn’t played like this since 2008, I doubt he makes the all-star team though. Just too much competition. Speaking of West Guards, I checked how many votes every player received last year, and JLin was barely beaten out by Westbrook for a starter spot, and Lin was playing terribly at that point, this year is a different story

IndianaBasketballParticipantIF Monta Ellis keeps this up, I don’t see how you can leave him out of the All-Star game.
Other than Chris Paul, he’s played just as well as any guard in the West.

flopdownDI knew Dallas would get the best out of him. I have respect for Carslile and that Cuban Prick, they get the most out of players, and Nowitzki, thru heavy playoff experience became the vocal leader who keeps players in check, needed

HitsterParticipantDallas look to be back to something like their usual form after a rare losing season. Ellis is playing well, Dalambert gives them a solid defensive presence and Dirk is also starting to find his rhythm after missing nearly 30 games last season.
Dirk may not be quite the player he was when he was MVP but he looks to be getting back to near the form he was prior to his injury hit season last year.
With a solid rotation and lots of experience, I would expect Dallas to be a solid play off bet as a middle of the pack seed. But I would not see them as likely contenders although they could win through the first round and with their experience would not be an easy match up. But it would need Dirk to be playing near his peak for this roster to be legit contenders again.
If Monta continues to put up good stats and Dallas maintain a winning season, he could be an interesting dark horse to gain a bench spot at the All Star game. Given that he is now 28 years old and has been a heavy scorer statistically for about 7 years then a few coaches might decide to reward him with an All Star appearance ahead of younger guys who will have more shots at making the All Star game in the future.

NickWayne87Participanthave pretty much always looked like that sometimes with a bit more scoring. The difference this year is his percentage from the field is higher and his team is winning. As of now he’s on the list of best players to never make an allstar game….
