tareef32ParticipantI didn’t get a chance to see him play that much. Can anyone give me a quick scouting report? Thanks.

MalcolmxParticipant6’8 with a long wingspan maybe 7’2.Has a smooth looking stroke, more repetition will improve it.Has smooth explosiveness and athleticism. Can put it on the floor pretty well for his height and blocks shots.A tough New york city kid that over acheived on an average(by big east standards) team.He broke Allen Iversons record for most points scored in a game for a freshman in their first big east contest.Very young born in 1993 and is polite. He is more of a small forward than a power forward.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantRight now he’s very raw offensively, decent defender..He scores most of his points off hard work and grit..He’s an erratic shooter from the perimeter, but very good in transition…He doesnt take advantage of his superior athletic skills as often as he should…He has plenty of upside ,could be 1 of the sleepers in this draft…I think if he goes to a team that runs,he might be able to garner at least 10 to 15 minutes a night…

Meditated StatesParticipantHe should be able to score double figured every night. Good strong finisher around the basket. Very good athelete. Look forward to hearing how he does against the other SF prospects in one on one drills. Could be a problem for some.

fliptonnParticipantMy roommate is an avid St. John’s fan so I got to see them play almost every game this year. Harkless is basically there whole offense. Other guys shoot really low percentages and turn the ball over a lot so when he plays for St. John’s he looks like a man among boys. Has had some very nice dunks this year and knows what its like to play on a big stage (The Garden). Played well against good competition. I kind of see him as an underdeveloped Rudy Gay because he has all the tools but hes still pretty thin and really needs to work on his range if he wants to get burn in the NBA. Definitely will play the 3 in the NBA since his handle has improved drastically this year. You can attribute his low FG% but also inflated PPG to the fact that St. John’s didnt have a pg or a big man this year so Harkless being the go to guy had to do too much. This is a guy whose stock could shoot up during workouts and measurements.

fito91ParticipantIn my opinion, if Harkless measures well and has great workouts he will be a late lottery pick.
