Anyways… was wondering what people think of Kai Sotto… I’m getting some way mixed reviews with him. Every real scout I hear from says he won’t stick in the league because of his lack of athleticism and lateral quickness. Givony bashed him and he’s not even on and hasn’t been remotely close on a top 100 consensus big board al year. But then his highlights definitely pass the eye test. His basketball IQ is there. He moves very fluent for 7-2 + player. He’s still a young prospect. Maybe anyone can pass the test in highlights, but he seems to be the Youtube king now! I mean people out there are claiming outright without proof that Kai Sotto > Holmgren! Is that blasphemy, or does the Youtube-verse know something scouts don’t? Another interesting thing about this topic… the Philippines is a very populated place. The market for a Sotto jersey seems to be here and there and everywhere too. He could get drafted with that also in consideration.

I don’t think he will get drafted at this point. Probably a G League/overseas guy. He lacks the strength and quickness for the NBA game.
