arowsky205ParticipantHere’s my one mock draft that I’ll do before draft day. I wanted to get one in before a trade messes up the order. Just click on the link on the left underneath my username to see it. My picks aren’t based off of any rumors or what I actually think will happen on draft day. For every pick I did what I would do if I were the GM of that team. One thing I noticed while making it is that there is great value in the second round. There’s not much separation between the guys I have in the late 30’s and the guys in the 50’s. I don’t think I made any huge reaches but there are some guys that I have considerably lower than the general consensus (namely Adams, Larkin, and Leslie). My comments are pretty detailed and hopefully they clear up my reasoning. I’m ready for some fun debate if anyone wants to discuss.

alleavelParticipantI do not see Oladipo falling to 8. To me he’s a lock for the top 5, perhaps even the top 3. Will not get past Phoenix.

arowsky205ParticipantI gave him a long look for the Kings at 7. I think he’s less of a risk than some of the guys ahead of him but they all have more potential. Thanks for the input.

khoon24Dieng will not fall out of the first round. He’s too good a defender and pick and roll threat. He has excellent passing, just needs to work on his post skills. He is a high character guy that will work hard and impressive a lot of teams, so I see him going to either the Thunder at 12 or Bulls at 20.

arowsky205ParticipantIn this draft there are going to be a handful of guys in the early second round that could easily be first rounders. In my mock Dieng is one of those guys. It’s just going to depend on teams’ preferences. But I do think 20 would be a little high for him and 12 would be way too high.

khoon24Agree to disagree. Several experts have speculated Dieng going to OKC, and Gorgui has already met with the Thunder. If they don’t pick him at 12 there is no way they would pass him up with the 29th pick. That is if he’s still available, as this article says he also met with the Knicks and the Nets: http://www.thecardinalconnect.com/2013/06/10/gorgui-dieng-will-meet-with-the-oklahoma-city-thunder-today/
