It would be better if you did the first rd with comments explaining each pick – a lot of your picks seem to be for positions that I would consider filled – or where larger concerns could be addressed. Orlando already has Nik Vucevic and Nicholson has shown a lot of promise – why Nerlens when they could really use a PG like Smart? Alex Len for NO when they have AD and Ryan Anderson – they could really use a SF. Another instance – OKC picking up Bennett when they clearly need a C. Maybe you didn’t address team needs and this is solely skill based rankings?

Orlando taking Noel because I don’t think Nicholson will be anything more than a role player in this league and Noel when he is fully healthy is a Top 3 talent in this draft. Noel & Vucevic I think can be a very good duo in this league for many years to come with Nicholson being that first big off the bench and then in the 2014 draft taking either Wiggins or Paker. And then you have a Wiggins/Parker, Noel, Vucevic front court to build around.

I think Anthony Davis is better suited to play the 4 in the league. And I feel Alex Len is a couple of years away from being able to be a starter in this league, so you can still start Anderson & Davis with Aminu at the 3 while Len develops and then by the time Anderson’s contract is up Len will be ready to be a starter along with Davis at the 4.

I am a OKC fan and I feel like Anthony Bennett would be a great fit with OKC. While I understand they need a C for the future they also need a backup SF to Kevin Durant. With Bennett also being able to play the 4 you can slide Ibaka over to the 5 as well.

Next time I’ll add comments to why I put players where I put them.

I understand why you’re choosing the player – partially best player available, partially a team need. I just think that these three teams have much more pressing needs to be addressed. Orlando could seriously use a fresh PG, Nelson is getting old and if the team is going to rebuild that’s a good place to start. The play of their front court of late seems pretty promising – Harkless, Nicholson, Vucevic – so why not focus on the back court? I agree with you when it comes to AD being a 4, but why fix what isn’t broken at this point. The SF is a pretty big hole on a team full of desirable starters. OKC drafted PJ3 last year, why draft another? Besides that, Anthony Bennett is a tweener who just screams Derrick Williams to me. I think it would be better in the long run if they grabbed a C since this draft is full of them.

I’m an Orlando fan, and the one thing we really need is a rim-protector and a PG. If Noel is there, he should be picked as he is the best talent in this draft imo. I don’t think Smart would be a great PG of the future and unless we trade down, I doubt they pick Burke (best PG in the draft, for me). And when you consider the guards potentially going into next year’s draft, I think the Magic would be fine with picking Noel this year.
