So the mock draft looks good but there are some controversial predictions.

  Thon Maker makes his first appearance selected 28th to the Suns with their third 1st round pick. Now while I agree that’s probably around where he should be selected I guarantee that he goes higher especially in this draft. The Suns aren’t the only team with three 1st round picks. The 76ers, Celtics and Nuggets all have three 1st round picks before the Suns 28th pick and the Raptors have two. There’s no possible way that none of those four teams select Maker as a D-League guy that they can stash and grow as a player or an asset. At the very least Maker will impress some NBA team and will get somebody to fall in love and if it’s not one of those teams someone will try to get him through a trade. He’s definitely gone by the Top 20.

  Also it’s hard to believe that Chieck Diallo and Skal Labissiere two plyers that have proven without a doubt they are projects and currently ineffective in the College game are ranked much higher without the same criticism of not being ready. I’m not saying that Thon Maker is an elite prospect I’m just saying, he is at least as good as Skal in terms of overall potential.

Buddy Heild is picked 3rd overall by Boston ahead of Jamaal Murray. This one is a matter of preference as both players have proven they can be high level scorers yet id put my money on Murray.

  Timothy Luwawu drops all the way to the second round. What’s the reasoning for this? I think he is a great prospect and could sneak into the lotto but then again I don’t own a mock draft/scouting website so there maybe things I don’t know.

 Caris Levert going top 20 all of a sudden. I actually agree that he could go top 20 based on potential/talent alone yet it seems he is injury prone and is more likely to get picked in the second round somewhere after teams do his medical checks.

  And I really think Malachi Richardson is way too high for an athletic shooter that can defend some.

All together it’s a good mock though and I enjoyed it.
