I just saw Mo Cheeks signed as an assistant coach with the Thunder. I’m a firm believer in the right coaching moves improving the development of players. I think this move was great for OKC, I think Cheeks was a great NBA point guard in the 70’s and 80’s and his knowledge of the point guard position especially from the defensive end will greatly benefit Russell Westbrook’s maturation and understanding of the pg position at an NBA level. Great move OKC

that’s another genius move by OKC. Cheeks isn’t a good head coach but from what I heard during his head coaching stint was that he was a “player’s coach” that worked well at teaching guards the game.
