I know he’s still 3 games in but is it me or has MKG been super aggressive on the offensive end lately? Dude has been tearing it lately this past week since his return. His shot has definitely improved and he looks to be more involved on offense. I like this new MKG.

One of my favourites, glad he is on the improve. Looks like a good win today over the Cavs. This makes the MKG vs Harrison Barnes debate more interesting….. Actually I can see that debate going on for a few more seasons yet….

It’s a good debate.  Both extremely high character guys, great teammates.  I feel like Barnes and Wiggins are similar in the fact that you feel like they could turn it on and take over a game, but never do.  Outside of Leonard’s recent offensive output, I think Leonard and MKG are very similar.  Long, great defenders.  Great motors, calm, understated demeanor.

If the question were which player would contribute more to winning a title, I’d say MKG.

Sorry man that made no sense. As much as I’m starting to lean back over to the MKG over Barnes side as stated above Barnes is a champion and had a big role. A team that is defending champs on pace for the best regular season record ever and likely to repeat would not want to swap Barnes for MKG. Even with his shots finally falling.

Tell me how Barnes was integral to that team winning a title.  He was on the team, he’s a good, not great player.  Essential for a title, though?. For my money, I want somebody who can get my team more possessions at the end of a game, via offensive rebounding or defense.  If you do those, four people on your team can benefit.

You put Barnes on a team like the Sixers and he could go 25 and 6 on a daily basis. Instead he accepts his role as an offensive and defensive sparkplug for the Dubs. He did it without any complaints. I love Barnes for being a professional.

No he definitly wouldnt.  Hed still be the 2nd option behind Okafor whose a better one on one scorer.  Hed put up numbers similar to Wiggins imo on the Sixers.  With that said im really hoping they make a run at him in the offseason hedhed be a perfect fit here alongside Jah in Dantonis uptempo offense

The two are very similar athletes, and body build. Andrew at this stage has shown me he will be a better ball handle, and able to shoot it off the dribble than Barnes. Also it’s natural for Andrew to take the ball on the block, and work it in the paint.

I guesss he’s still the best rebounder SF in the league.

    32 rebs and +29 in 3 games.

I’ve been on record I thought Barnes should have been the second overall pick, and got a lot of heat for it at the time. However, he was not essential for Golden State getting a ring Iggy was. Iggy is a bit older now, but he is one of the most gifted elite all around athletes league has seen. He was the team Pippen like when the Bulls had him stick Magic Johnson.

Golden State didn’t take control of the series until Iggy got the starting nod. Barnes is a good role player, and if he was put on the Sixers somone has to score for an awful team. I think Averly Bradly would put the same or better numbers for the Sixers if he was playing for them. Barnes isn’t the best ball handler, and can’t really create for himself like a Star player.

I was actually coming here to post about MKG. I haven’t gotten the chance to see him with my own eyes this season, but the numbers he’s putting up are impressive, and more importantly, Charlotte is winning.

I honestly sort of just chalked him up as a bust (or not so much a bust really, but a bad pick at #2), but if he can continue to produce like this offensively, then I’ll have to rethink that one completely. From what I’ve heard out of Charlotte, he’s really put in work on his jumper and can actually shoot the ball now. Can anyone else attest to this?

Also, I’m having trouble editing my post, but I thought it was interesting to note that last night MKG took 14 shots, whereas in the past three seasons combined, he’s only taken that many shots five times.
