Lotto StudParticipantEveyone and their mother already knows that the consensus #1 pick made by the Charlotte Bobcats would have been none other then Anthony Davis who would have been selected as a 4-man. Now if you think about it, if MJ wants versatility he still can get that at the 4 spot by trading back to select PJ3 versus taking MKG who everyone projects to the squad. There isn’t much a greater need IMO then a guy who can play multiple positions which PJ3 gives you if MJ selects him. This is a pick I really wouldn’t put past him because again he was looking into Anthony Davis who brought in athleticism & versatility.

Lotto StudParticipantI say Charlotte is in a bad spot right now at #2.

MKG_AllDayParticipantIf i was the Bobcats i would take TRob b/c the bobcats need to get tougher and i think TRob is an excellent rebounder and a decent defender not to mention they also Biyombo

bloodshyParticipantThe gap between the 2nd and 7th picks in this draft is not currently very wide (Beal, Robinson, MKG, Barnes, PJIII, Lamb, Drummond). That will change after combines and the field will narrow. But right now, I doubt anyone from 3-7 would be willing to give up much to move up to 2. If you were Portland, would you give the 6 and 11 to move up to 2? I wouldn’t.
If I were the Bobcats, I’d hold tight and watch as the combine and workouts separate the prospects. It is very likely that one of the possible number 2 options will rise well above the rest over the next few months.

HotSnotParticipantTrading back from #2 to another team in the 3-7 range is very possible if the Cats create a market for it. If 2 teams narrow in on the same guy, their “must have” player if you will, its very possible a team trades up a few spots to leapfrog another team.
The Jazz did this to select Deron Wiliams a few drafts back(with Chris Paul also still on the board).

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipant“Some other teams are going to call us about No. 2,’’ Higgins said. “We’re going to
get some interest there until the pick is called’’ on draft night. No team is hoping teams around the league fall in love with Drummond or Kidd-Gilchrist more than Charlotte. If not, maybe they can shop around Biyombo and upgrade in terms of size, athleticism, and upside with Drummond. I suppose they can keep Biyombo and bring him off the bench where he ought to be, but seeing as how they need to add 20-30 points per game to that roster to just be better than inept they will need to be creative with what little they have to offer.

aamir543ParticipantWhat are you talking about? EVERYONE was looking into Anthony Davis, so does that mean everyone should trade back or up for PJ3? I don’t think so.

NiceWithTheRockParticipantI think Charlotte should trade dj augustin for a pick. His last 3 years have been rocky after being first team all rookie. He needs a change and Bobcats should go forward with Kemba and see how he goes.

KHAM83ParticipantMJ didn’t want Davis because of his versatility, he wanted him because he’s a great talent that leads to an immediate impact and has as much potential as any other top prospect ever. You can’t say the same about PJIII right now, who I do like as a prospect.

GrandmamaParticipantThey need someone who knows how to score and has offensive upside, they should take Barnes.
