Like Rasheed Wallace being the missing piece to the pistons 04 championship, or Lebron (or bosh) being the final pieces to their championship for Miami or evenin the earlier days  with the lakers adding Shaq… If you could name your favorite team AND the missing ideal player who fits into your teams system who would it be (or close to it)? (in other words, if you could take 1 player from another team, and put it on your favorite team based on your teams style of play who would it be)

*Cannot say Lebron, Durant, Kobe or Howard*

I’ll love to see Derrick Rose playing with Memphis..They are a big time creative point guard from doing some serious damage in the league…..

Being  a Pistons fan i have two theories..

Take Rudy gay from the Grizzlies and add him to the pistons. IMO, i think that he would fit the bill at the SF soit plays hard defense, and has a great all around game. With him on the team we can finally get some clarity at the sf spot and stop ‘auditioning’ different players to play that spot. Also Gay can be  that person who can be the go to player for points.

                                                                                       OR

I’ll take Josh Smith from the HAWKS and add him Pistons. Always been a fan of Josh Smith, he play hard defense could play sf or pf..(i would be prefer sf but its been a while since he played that position) would be a nice trio consisting of Smith, Monroe and Drummond for years to come. Only weakness would be our outside shot (only player in our starting 5 with LEGIT three pointer would be knight, stuckey/smith three pointer is still inconsistent) but our defense would be GREAT, especially in our frontcourt with monroe quick hands, and smith and drummond shot blocking ability. we would be able in the ECF or finals.

T-Wolves had trade rumors for a while about acquiring Andre Iguodala. Would’ve loved for him to join them since they need perimeter D and a scoring guard so badly. Also Ricky Rubio was sneaky good on D last season and to have them two on the perimeter would’ve been nice. They got Roy instead which is still exciting but their defense is going to plague them.

Also, Anthony Davis going to Cleveland would’ve been awesome.

KG would be the missing piece for the Thunder. He would bring out the best of that defense, and when that D consists of KD, Thabo, Westbrook, and Ibaka you’re going to be doing some scary things. Kg would also provide that veteran who’s "Been there", and seen every trick and every play since the begining of time. Imagine what he could do mentoring Westbrook and Ibaka? Finally KG would provide the Thunder with another versitile offensive player who can pass, shoot the mid range jumper, and play in the post every now and then.

This is all assuming he would play center, and come on. Anything is better then Perk at the moment

While I am NOT a Greg Oden fan….. I wish the Suns would take a roll of the dice on him, if their medical staff couldn’t work their magic in him, I doubt anyone could …. Long shot I know but I would like to see him have a chance with the Suns.

While I am in fantasy world…, if the Kings ever cut bait and released Jimmer, who clearly isn’t working out for them at the present, I wonder if being a backup G for the Jazz might not be worth a gamble.

The Celtics could really use a young and athletic bigman. Anthony Davis or Andre Drummond would be awesome. That somebody who could run the floor and block shots&rebound on the other end might be the missing piece.

Rajon Rondo would be the pass first point guard and penetrator the Pacers need.

Either him or Deron Williams would be a great fit here.

Any top SG. If we are talking multiple years and building for the future type then I would want E Gordon or J Harden.

If we are talking one year then obviously Wade (you said I couldn’t pick Kobe).

    Rose- Wade/Gordon/Harden- Deng- Boozer/Taj- Noah

Back in ’07 I wanted the Suns to trade Marion to Wolves for KG, and it was a lot closer than people think.  KG would have done everything on the floor that Marion did but brough a defensive mentallity that was not stressed in Phoenix enough at that time.

Dwight on the macs would make the mags front court unguardable

Dwight on the block with dirks midrange and spreading the court

And on defense you have 2 seven footers and the best defensive big man in the league

If the Celtics were to pick up Josh Smith without giving up too many pieces I think the Celtics would win the championship, imagine a line-up of:

    1. Rondo

    2. Bradley

    3. Paul Pierce

    4. Josh Smith

    5. KG

That line-up is devastating, and with Jason Terry, Courtney Lee, Jeff Green, Sully and the other rookies, this would be a team forced to be reckoned with. Then again, I don’t know what players would go to the Hawks if a trade like this were to happen. MAKE IT HAPPEN DANNY!

I would like to see Jrue Holiday on the Utah Jazz and Eric Bledsoe on the Knicks.
