valentineWho should they look at with the pick they got from Uta, assuming Utah makes the playoffs.
Shooting guard is a huge need so personally i would go with Dion Waiters, but who do you guys think they should take?

GlenTaylorSucksParticipantWho would fall to them? Realistically, the best option would be Terrence Ross. He fits perfectly with what the Wolves want to do. They DESPERATELY need a 2. If Rivers or Lamb somehow falls to them, holycrap that would be amazing. But I highly doubt they will. I’m wondering if maybe they should dangle their pick + Beasley/DWill/Randolph/Wes Johnson in an effort to trade up for Brad Beal, or to trade for a quality vet SG.

TyroberParticipantThey could hope Rivers falls that far, but I highly doubt he does. He seems like he should be a top 10 pick imo. Maybe Terrance Jones, Terrance Ross, and Wroten would all be solid picks in the 15-16 range.

Critically ThinkingParticipantif terrence ross is there grab him! doesnt need the ball in his hands quite as much as waiters, not to mention the added length defensively

phila9012ParticipantI would say trade back and try to get Doron Lamb. I think that he would fit nicely with us. He can shoot, and he can score, so either he could start or he could provide scoring off of the bench. Hopefully derrick williams works on his perimeter defense, and ball handling, so that he can start at the SF. Then they would just need a bench scorer and a good bigman off the bench.

PulseGlazerParticipantRoss is ideal in my opinion. He’s a shooter and defender – exactly what they need.

sideburn2goParticipantThey are in a position where they can take a chance on a player or even trade their pick for a veteran. They have tons of young talent on the team already and they need to either go for someone with star potential or look for someone who has been around long enough to boost them into the playoffs next year.

bloodshyParticipantRoss or Rivers will likely be available–great snag if they can get either. If not, Waiters or Wroten. Just take the best 2 available. That Wes Johnson kid is a mega bust with very little promise remaining imho.

river09ParticipantRoss would be a great fit, he operates well without the ball and has great form on his jumper. Other guys that should be given a long look include John Jenkins (best shooter in the draft), William Buford (great role player, excellent shooter), Marcus Denmon (great competitor, could be available with their late second pick). Dion Waiters would also be pretty ideal IMO, he’s accustomed to coming off the bench and not necessarily being the focus of an offense, he plays with a pretty high IQ, and has the skills and athleticism to be a quality player in the NBA. I like his confidence and demeanor on the court too. Khris Middleton or Will Barton or Darius Johnson-Odom might be solid options with their second round pick too if they are available.

BiggysmallsParticipantI’d love to see them get Terrence Ross. He’s going to be everything people wanted Wes Johnson to be. I’d be curious to see if they have any interest in dealing Derrick Williams, perhaps they cud throw him into a deal and get a top 10 pick and steal either Beal or Barnes. Both would fill big needs.
Trade utah pick and Dwill for top 5 pick and get Barnes. Sign OJ Mayo/Courtney Lee/Brandon rush
PG. Rubio/Ridnour/Barea
SG. Mayo/Johnson/Ellington
SF. Barnes/Beasley
PF. Love/Tolliver
C. Pekovic/Randolph
That could be a top 6 team in the West
