baggins13ParticipantWat do you all think about the multiple draft picks for Minnesota? Obvious needs are PG and C, but i think they could make a trade with their #6 pick and get a vet since they can get both later in the draft. What are your thoughts?

T-WOLF FANParticipantThey do need a PG and this a good draft for PG’s, not so good for C’s though. They should find a C in free agency or through a trade

gatorheelsParticipantJordan Hill or Thabeet would be a great pick at #6 although it is likely they are both gone by then. So getting a big long athletic post player in free agency is a must. Through this draft they are definitely going to get a PG. Since there are so many PG’s in this draft they may take the best player available at 6 then take a PG at 18.

HaleParticipantJordan Hill would not be a good pick, then either he is coming off the bench as the 6th pick in the draft or Love comes off the bench as essentially the third pick last year. It makes one of those picks a waste.

gatorheelsParticipantNo it doesn’t. There are very good players in the nba that come off the bench. Just because a player doesn’t start doesn’t mean it was a wasted pick…thats just stupid. Hill can also play Center in case you didn’t know that. Hill can sub in for Love or Jefferson when they need rest giving them more size, defense and rebounding which is exactly what the TWolves need.

futurenba23Participantat #6, I see Minnesota taking Tyreke Evans if he’s available. Then packaging their other two first rounders (#18 and #28) to move up to perhaps #10 and taking Earl Clark, as he can come off the bench his rookie season, then potentially start at the 3 next year.

badgerbasketball33ParticipantAs a t-wolves fan I’m pulling for Tyreke Evans or Demar Derozen. Jordan Hill would be a dumb pick considering we would now have 3 true power forwards in the line up we don’t need him.
Personally I’d rather have foye play the point and draft derozen to be our true shooting guard although two combo guards in evans and foye would work too.
At #18 or even at 28 they could snag a point guard as well. That’s why I see Derozen getting taken at 6 because patty mills, ty lawson, jeff teague, or even eric maynor could still be around. Although I would like to see the team get a true center in mullens (though being from wisconsin and seeing him play in person, he will never be that great IMO)
with the 28th pick they mine as well trade it away along with one of their expiring contracts

gatorheelsParticipantHill is bigger than Love and Jefferson. Not to mention he brings length in the post which the TWolves don’t have. Hill can also run the floor better than Love which gives a good change of pace. So no it isn’t like having 3 power forwards. If Hill gains weight he can play Center.

birdman1113Participanttrade up and get Thabeet, and with their second pick take a point guard like mills jennings teague mayner or holiday.

gatorheelsParticipantI’m not sure if Minnesota has enough trade assets to be able to move up far enough to get Thabeet. That would be a good move though.

unofficialscoutParticipantI actually like Jefferson at the 5 and Love at the 4. You have two crafty big men who can score and go after every rebound. Minnesota’s two biggest needs are actually PG (Foye will be a very good scorer/combo guard but I have said al along that he is not a PG) and a SF (Corey Brewer = BUST). With the 6th pick the T-Wolves should take Earl Clark, even thought that is a bit high for him, he has prototypical size for the three and can play a lil bit at the four. I can see him averaging 18/7/4 eventually. With the 18th pick they should select Eric Maynor who would be a nice compliment to Foye at the 2. Maynor is a great game manager and passer and is better than Telfair.

gatorheelsParticipantI wouldn’t say Brewer is a bust yet. Give him a chance. Maynor at 18 would be a good pick, I agree he would be an upgrade over Telfair. Clark would be a good pick to but they should trade down to get him.

ctw724ParticipantI have them taking Demar DeRozan at #6, then giving up #18 and possibly even #28 to the Bulls for Kirk Hinrich.
