KHAM83ParticipantIf Lilliard is available at 9, can you see Detroit trading the pick for Milsap? Unless Robinson fell to them there’s no one there to fill their need at the pf position that isn’t a risk. I think Milsap complements Monroe perfectly. Utah then drafts Lilliard to be pg of future. If not, I will shop Milsap to Philly for a shot at Marshall. I think we all expect Brand to be admestied right?

luca5429ParticipantI think Brand will be amnestied.
There should be a market for the #9 pick if Lilliard makes it there (I fully expect him to be gone).
Not a bad plan, but I wouldn’t be in a hurry to deal Milsap.

KHAM83ParticipantAssuming you’re Detroit, would you rather Milsap or Jefferson? Jefferson makes a lot more but both have expiring contracts. In this situation, I’ll force Utah to take Gordon contract off my hands, which if I’m Utah I’ll do. #9(Lilliard)/Gordon for Milsap and Raja Bell.

Allen_Iverson_3ParticipantPaul Millsap straight up for Kendall Marshall? If I were the Jazz I wouldn’t do that: Millsap is a borderline All-star, Marshall has yet to prove anything in the NBA and is no sure thing (could end up at worse being Marcus Williams 2.0).

the27guyParticipantI feel like people are seriously undervaluing Millsap. Ben Gordon’s contract situation makes him a liability, whereas Millsap at $6M next year is a big time bargain. If I was the Jazz I wouldn’t trade Millsap straight up for #9, and I wouldn’t even consider taking on the Gordon contract.
If you could get a proven starter like Millsap on a cheap one year with a chance to extend him for a #9 pick straight up… I think you have to do that deal.

mj23mj23besteverParticipantgetting a proven 18 and 8 for the 9 pick imo is a fantatic deal for the pistons sap and monroe would compliment each other very well i think saps value maybe be down a bit because teams know the jazz are looking too unload one of their bigs

no skillsParticipantif lilliard is there at #9 i say go for it. or maybe there is a chance the jazz can try for the 6th pick with millsap and a few other peices? all i know is as a jazz fan its time to unload a big and i want lilliard!

CodySLCParticipantMillsap is a great player. And with his affordable contract teams will be drooling over him, making him our biggest trading asset. We have Derrick Favors who looks ready to explode on the scene going into his 3rd season. So I see Millsap on his way out this summer.
If i were the Jazz i would take the 9th pick, PLUS Jonas Jerebko.

couch gmParticipantWould the Jazz consider Wilson Chandler, Dre Miller (sign and trade) and a future number 1?
