Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantThis site currently has him going 24th in next year’s draft. I know he is not a finished product and still needs to work on several aspects of his game, but there is no way this guy isn’t a lottery pick whenever he declares. His athleticism is absurd. He has a strong frame, good handle is versatile and has the physical tools to be able to guard multiple positions. I think he might be as good an overall prospect as any player in this class and has a legitimate chance to go number one overall with a strong freshman season.

esperanzafleet69Participantwhile his shot isnt bad, it still needs development..
This kid is the best recruit i think ive ever seen for our team and looks like a dominant force at the college level. i think he needs to better understand izzo’s system of screens. he’s looking a little uncomfortable on the low block. i dont think he’s comfortable going off screens against bigger defenders, especially when there is another guy protecting the rim. i really think he should be out on the wing where he’s throwing down these monster jam’s. eventually teams will learn to play help defense against him, and he will need to develop his passing abilities.
As of now, msu is using him as a power forward. we just played an excellent game, although a 1 pt loss, against a team that was much bigger than the spartans. it gives me hope for the rest of the year that we can get something done.
i think #1 overall is a stretch, but this kid definantly has talent. he has the TOOLS to guard multiple positions, but he needs to develop the defensive skill. top 5.
On a seperate note, Langford needs a chance here. This was his first game of the season. and besides the layup at the end, he really outplayed harris. harris needs to step up.
does anyone know if schilling will be back at all?

theballerwayParticipanthim being taken outside of the lottery, 24 th is a joke but I imagine they are laying it super safe. why I don’t know. His tools are great and so is his intensity.

GBeeParticipantHe looks like a bull in a China shop. Great athlete, physically mature, aggressive, but the rest of his game outside of looking to score needs work. Bad shot selection, poor floor game, not a good defender despite his physical tools, weak ball skills. He was very productive in the game last night, but there were a few times where it looked like Izzo wanted to tear his head off. Hopefully he learns something his 1 year with Izzo, otherwise he might top out as a Corey Maggette type, which isn’t terrible.

Taylor Gang MikeParticipantHe is a Mo Harkless type player. Needs to work on his shooting and dribble pull ups. His offense needs work.
