    Who do you guys think the best player this year is that doesnt play in one of the major conferences?

    I think it is Larry Sanders from VCU.
    He is a long, athletic forward who is very mobile and is a great shot blocker.
    With Eric Maynor now in the NBA, it will become Sanders’ team and I think he will have a great year.

    What about you guys?

    Definitely watch out for Edwin Ubiles for Siena. He reminds me of a shorter Earl Clark. His size pops out at you on the TV screen just like Clark too. He will be special this year.

    Thank you for bringing up a Siena player.
    I’ve been a fan of them for the past 2 years with them getting to the tournament, Im hoping they get back to the Madness behind Ubiles.

    A few years ago Keith Simmons played for Holy Cross. He went my high school so I was really excited when he took on Duke by himself with an injured knee. Another player from my HS helped put Siena on the map. Tay Fisher had a huge role as a freshman but it diminished as Siena recruited other great players. High School games were sick with Tay lobbing passes for Keith to windmill oop.
