RUDEBOY_ParticipantThe city of Memphis is considering suing the NBA to collect money lose during the league’s lockout…The city of Memphis owns The FedexForum where the Grizzlies play..That arena was built by money from revenue bonds ..The money to repay those bonds comes from fees and revenue generated by the arena…And if that money isn’t there, becuz of the lockout..It has to come from somewhere…It would cost taxpayers 18 million dollars if the NBA season is cancelled…It could force the city to make cutbacks in other areas like the police and fire departments…And in these tough economic times when so many cities in America are hurting for cash…If Memphis succeeds in winning its case against the NBA..The other league cities may follow their path and try to collect their revenues by filing law suits…..A current Grizzlies player who asked to not to be indentified said some of the players want Player Executive Billy Hunter removed if a deal isnt done by friday….
