RUDEBOY_ParticipantWhat does this mean for Mike Conley?
Do y’all think Felton is a better player then Conley?0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/01/2010 - 8:50am #344871

IndianaBasketballParticipantDoesn’t Memphis have enough guards?

Tobe BryantParticipantConley needs to be in NYC (NYK) where he can man an uptempo offense. His skills seem to mesh perfectly with a non-defensive minded game that D’Antoni usually plays.

RickyRubio9ParticipantRaymond Felton is better then Mike Conley, but I thought OJ Mayo to the Point was a done deal? Isn’t that why he’s on the Summer League roster?

OrangeJuiceJonesParticipantI doubt O.J starts at point next season, especially since they now have Vasquez. He’ll see more time at the point, but he’s not gonna start.

IndianaBasketballParticipantNelson had Felton on an oven burner in the first round of the playoffs… Felton isn’t that good. Especially considering he thinks he’s a big money type of player.

JNixonParticipantRaymond Felton is NOT “way” better than Mike Conley. I don’t know if y’all watch Bobcats games (I know most don’t…..hell I don’t even watch their games alot) but Felton and Conley are around the same level of player actually. Both are average starters who lack the size to be much better players than they currently are. Also, Felton is a much worse defender than Conley and probably worse as a shooter too. They wouldn’t upgrade that much if that’s what anyone’s thinking.

PlatypusParticipantFelton – Conley / Vasquez
Mayo – Young / Vasquez
Gay – Brewer (if resigned) or Henry
Randolph – Arthur
Gasol – Thabeet0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/01/2010 - 6:53pm #345348

PureshooterParticipantIggy, I totally agree with you. Watching the Bobcats play the Magic in the playoffs, it was actually embarrassing how Felton was abused by Nelson. He is really a poor defender and isn’t much of a perimeter shooter. He was pretty much splitting minutes with Augustin at the end of the season.
Felton to me is a perfect example of just how much faster the NBA is than college. I remember watching Felton abuse everyone in college with his speed while he was at UNC, but it’s rare to see that with the Bobcats.

NarcParticipantI don’t think its that Felton lacks the size…he’s a lot bigger than most think…isn’t he about 6’3? But anway, its that he yo-yo’s the ball way too much. He’s very turnover prone and doesn’t make good decisions. Jackson was the man bringing the ball up court this year for the Bobcats at times.

Looking at your lineup, you’re telling me you would play Ronnie Brewer and Sam Young over Xavier Henry?
