Okay, I think I’m going crazy with the way the Grizzlies just keep winning games. Their starting line up currently includes JaMychal Green, Troy Williams, Andrew Harrison and Tony Allen. Zach Randolph and Troy Daniels are the two best players off the bench. The team is on a 6 game winning streak and has just beaten Portland and Golden State.

I admit I haven’t watched them play, I’ll watch the Cleveland game to see for myself, still, what is the Grizzlies secret? They probably have the least talented line up in the NBA right now. I know almost nothing about their head coach, is he amazing? Is Marc Gasol an MVP candidate all of a sudden?

I still partly refuse to believe the team’s success, every day I expect them to burn out and lose like 8 games in a row, but it never happens. I’m honestly not hating, any Grizzlies’ fans care to comment?

Marc Gasol is probably playing the best basketball of his career and they seem to be really working as a team.

Aside from Marc Gasol playing out of his damn mind this season (THE MOST clutch player in the league THIS SEASON) I too am puzzled as to how the Grizzlies keep winning games.

I admit that I was one of the harshest critics of the Grizz coming to the season, and predicted them to not even make it to the playoffs. And my did they make me look stupid. I wouldn’t be mad at myself by thinking that though because aside from Gasol, no one jumps off the page in terms of performances this season.

Green has been solid but he’s still somewhat of an offensive liability when I watch their games. Harrison is decent but he’s very inefficient and is best served a backup. Troy Williams killed my fantasy team with his field goal shooting one week but he plays good D.

But we also have to mention Conley because before he got injured, man was he balling. He at times looked like a mini Steph Curry there with his floaters and his drastically improved three point shooting. It’s sad to see him injured because he was finally shedding the underrated label and playing himself into all-star recognition.

And it shows how a team can be in Every game with a Great center

Conley & Gasol are running an unstoppable pick & roll game before Conley got injured.

Great pity that Conley got injured as he was playing some of his best ever ball too as Roxas states above. I just hope that Mike isn’t going to be dogged by injuries going forward as he missed the end of last year too and back injuries in players are always a worry. Plus Mike being a smaller PG he takes a fair few knocks from bigger guys and relies on his nimbleness to be a scoring threat too. But with his improved 3 point range he looks as if he is refining his game and could be the sort of PG who reaches his peak later than the flashier more purely athletic guys.

I smiled when Roxas said Mike had the underated tag when Mike got the biggest 5 year deal last summer and is joint 2nd highest paid player in the NBA. But I agree it would be nice to see him get an All Star nod or two over the next few years.

be starting forever but Im just happy to see Troy Williams in the league.  I liked him since HS, he’s come a very long way and still has a ways to go but hes proving himself a NBA player.

Zach Randolph has also ironically become a model professional in recent years and seems to have totally brought into the 6th man role and realised he can extend his career this way.
