TRC1991ParticipantA guy whose praises I’ve been singing all year. He’s an absolute gamer. Tonight vs. TCU he went 20-24 for 48 points and 18 rebounds. He’s proven he can shoot the 3 (36%), he has a nice shooting form, he shoots the ball from the free throw line pretty well (78%) and we all know what he can do as far as dunking the basketball…
But the thing that impresses me the most is his leadership, intangibles, competitive nature, and willingness to rebound the ball. Yeah he might be an undersized power forward deep down, but he’s shown enough to get a really solid shot at playing in the NBA as a small forward – reminds me of Jae Crowder – but even more athletic. Maybe that type of roll.
NBA draftniks weigh in. He’s not in the mock but he’s averaging 18 and 8 and he’s on a pretty good Iowa State team. What exactly is holding him back?

Chapelhill41ParticipantGreat analysis of him although I believe his position should be SF. I think he’s a solid player, super consistent and a good defender. He’s definitely better in my eyes than Jerami Grant whose listed as number 9 on the mock draft for some odd reason. TCU has shown they can’t defend several times this year, but still a very impressive outing for a guy I believe has the talent of a first round pick. I feel like he has a very big range on where he could be drafted though, I can’t quite pinpoint where I’d take him. However if he slips to the second round he could be a great value pick.
