BasketballJunkie224Participanti dont think there is a player in america who i am more confused about. sometimes i think hes overated and then other times i get to thinking that next year in the NBA he will be a lot better because he will have better teammates. everyone hates his turnover numbers and all of that but lets focus on the good.
Me defending MCW
First of all, Hes a 6’6 PG which is good as far as height is concerned. The dude averages 7+ assists right now(top 3 i believe in ncaa) i have watched a lot of syracuse games this year and this guy probably SHOULDVE avereged about 10 or 11. His teamates dont help his cause. Most of the time they will miss bunnys or baye kieta will pump fake 2 or 3 times when there is nobody on him and then get fouled. He has beautiful passes to rakeem xmas and sometimes he finished but he should be finishing 9 out of 10 passes he recieves from MCW. Then you have brandon triche lol, i dont even know where to start with him. I just feel like maybe in the NBA he will be able to do more of what he wants because he will have players who can run with him. Lastly, everyone on here says ohh sh*t hes 21 hes so old! but lets look at it this way, a college senior is 22 right? so he is only 1 year older than he should be. so every college senior (who is the correct age) is considered old? i just dont understand that. But i will get into something else in the ‘worried’ part..check when i start talking about experienceWhat Im worried about
He looks awfully skinny and i just cant really picture his body as it is right now doing well in the NBA. Then again i never say never after seeing how KD has turned out. maybe he really is turnover prone and everything. The whole thing with EXPERIENCE is kind of funny because when i defended him saying he really isnt that old in reality its kind of a catch 22 because he is 21 and really has only really played 1 year of college ball. Last year he played but he was kind of just going thru the motions at cuse. Some may say the experience in practice made him better but i believe he was already that good and any improvements came in the summer.I can picture him blossoming into an nba star and then i can picture him being a TOTAL bust and ending up overseas (like nbadraft.net said in his ‘weaknesses’)
Just wondering how everybody thinks this guys career will pan out

festar35ParticipantI can’t help but think Shaun Livingston when it comes to MCW. Now I don’t think he had the potential taht Livingston had and hopefully doesn’t have an injury like Livingston either (which I don’t think he has ever fully recovered from). I can see him being a good player and kinda a porr man’s Vasquez, again to me is not a starter however a very good facilitator for 2nd unit of a team.

theballerwayParticipantI generally look past hs age as i see him getting picked around 9-13 kinda range but to me hes good value from 7ish onwards. Shooting aint gret but he has good strides, handles and is slippery so he can get to the basket, will he finish i dont know but good vision can play some too or in a back court with a smaller shooting guard (think Ben Gordon type).

raybeasParticipantI think the ‘Cuse system blasts his positives and hides his negatives. His shooting is too poor to translate to the NBA. I don’t think Indiana will even put Oladipo on him in their game Thurs., leaving him with Hulls guarding him.

theballerwayParticipantbut you saw the game right. Even Olidipo couldnt stop him. As i mentioned he used his excellent handle and slippery slashing style.
