 Seen quite a bit of shade thrown im on MCW on this site this year. His past 12 games he is averaging 17, 10, and 8 on 45% shooting. Crazy to me how every opinion I seen on a previous post was they would rather have muddiay. MCW is far from a perfect player, but given his level of teammates and what he has been asked to do; more times than not he has filled the role admirably, from my perspective, and has been improving vastly as of late.

 I think he will be much more efficient when he has capable scorers around him and doesnt have to continuosly force things. When Philly gets other options on the perimeter it will only benefit him.

 He is putting up empty stats on a turrible team. Until he is on a decent team, I think his stats should be taken with a grain of salt, and if you really want to look at his stats over the last 12, look at the 5.4 T/O’s he is averaging.

 By your standard, we shouldn’t count the turnovers because they are empty stats. 

His assists are impressive: he has a team where no one can shoot. Those assists have to be in transition. God knows he doesn’t have anyone to kick it out to. His rebounds are also very impressive. How many PG’s get that many rebounds?

His turnovers are the result of 1) Being asked to play at such a fast pace 2) Being the number one go to guy for scoring and ball-handling (despite not being able to shoot) 3) Having no one worth passing to 4) Being only a 2nd year player. 

It’s hard to play well when no one expects anything out of the other 4 guys on your team. He plays well despite that, not because of it.

Another thing that kills MCW is the lack of a consistent outside shot, if he ever learns how to shoot the ball he will look like a Top 5 PG…But at this point NO ONE on the 76ers including MCW can shoot and that has to be addressed ASAP, trade away everyone but MCW/Noel/Embiid/Saric/Wroten/McDaniels for a shooter or 2, draft a few this year I don’t care…We Need Shooters and Veterans around our young players…

If we can land another Top 3 pick and some 3pt specialist in the 2nd round we will be on track

Use that cap space on a Stud Sg or Sf and some veterans and I’ll be happy…

I also heard embiid compared to ibaka but a legit 7 footer bc he is such a fluid athlete. Also mcdaniels will come along as a good 3 and d player and I’m still not sure what they have in Covington. But bring over Saric and another high pick this year and they will have a very large group of talented player. Take next year to see what you really have and then start to add in fa’s in 2016. If they sign anyone this upcoming season it would be a waste

He reminds me of what Shawn Livingston could have been, and I see no reason for him to be hated. He’s just the best player on a terrible team. And when your team is terrible, the critics will certainly show up,  (see Anthony, C.)
