quincey hodgesso that means we wont hear anything about gordan or the clippers if they start winning because u said wait till mid season right..ok

Mr. BasketballParticipantwell the griz and the clips have played drastically different schedules so u can’t compare. gordon has had a better season. one game doesn’t define a season.

festar35ParticipantMayo played really well today. Consistency is his key though. You can’t be effective going for 10-15 point for 3 or 4 games then going for 35-40 it doesn’t really work like that.

OrangeJuiceJonesParticipantI’m a big O.J. Mayo fan, but the only reason he put those numbers up is because his jumper and floaters were falling. He scored 40, but only went to the line twice. Don’t expect Mayo to consistently put up 25+ points, he’ll break your heart. He just doesn’t really put pressure on the defense the way that a guy who can consistently score 25+ does.

The Big Odidn’t gordon do that last year against the thunder?
only went to the line twice? that is impressive
still not a fan of Orange Juice mayonnaise , eric gordon is good but i’m not a fan of his either
i respect both of their games but only to a certain extent, i’m gunning for that #1 spot too yaknow 🙂

quincey hodgeslol..how did i know excuses would come from guys to make there guy seem better…some of ya’ll just cant aknowledge when a player does well..reguardless of there schedule they are playng against nba teams..when someone gets rookie of the year or mvp or rookie/player of the week month..the nba doesnt say “he did this against this team this week or month so we arent gonna give him the award”..no need to hate just because you like one guy more then the other…as far as scoring..umm of course the only reason someone scores the points they do because there jumper is falling..if its not falling you dont score. im not worried about him constantly scoring since he showed last year that he doesnt have a problem doing that for a whole season

IndianaBasketballParticipantMayo played well last night, but he hasn’t been consistent. Gordon has been consistent every game so far, not to mention he’s been EFFICIENT. That’s the difference for me. Gordon doesn’t need to be a high volume shooter to be effective and he can play within the offense. I think Gordon puts more pressure on the defense by his ability to drive the lane and get to the free-throw line.
I also think that Gordon is starting to show that he can play some point guard. He’s an improved ball handler, can beat almost anybody off the dribble and makes great decisions with the ball. Gordon makes the right pass consistently.
As of right now, I’m going to say Gordon is better.

lalailaParticipantyes terrific game, i was so soooo suprised when i saw the numbers, wow 40/5/3 , if he can do that things next to Gay Zach that and could end season with over 20ppg..i will say he is Leagues Leading scorer after 3-5yrs, and i thought it since his college career, but for this seasons i haven’t so big hopes with Zach, Gay , A.I. i thought his avg could be less even than rookies years’
…but how ever..just one game..Eric seasons’ high is 14fga and two 20pts games, and a few days aago one reporter from hoopsworld.com said he thinks that ERIC could become the best scorer in all league!
still believe Eric is easily most effiecient scorer and Beasley is big contender to be named the best scorer out of class with his feel for the game, but looking for the future i can see easily nearly 30ppg scorer is Mr.O.J. ..crazy CRAZY draft class, just imaginethere is still so lots potential even without Rose

sheltwon3ParticipantThat will be interesting if he can do that with AI in the line up but I will say this, Memphis has the fire power now, they just need to play more consistent and D up a lot better.

Chicago1980ParticipantI like him last night his offense came so easy he wasnt forcing anything thats how he should constantly play I also like the was thabeet came in and played defense he blocked shots and wasnt worried about getting called for fouls and Gasol also played a pretty good game last night.

quincey hodgesdont ya’ll think gordan needs to take more shots then if people keep saying “well if gordan takes more shots he could easily do that too”?..because the clippers havnt won a game so theres no reason why he shouldnt be taking the shots..cant blame mayo for feeling he has the ability to dominate and takes the shots that star players should be taking…think of the star players of the past and present…they try/and do…take over games if they have to mostly by scoring alot which requires taking more shots to get more points…i forgot to mention gasol..hes been balling also..gotta mention him in the young good centers race

The Big Our an oj mayo fan, tezo83 is a eric gordon fan.
I can dig it.But just like Rondo says he can take it to Chris Paul and Chris Paul say Rondo is not that good in the news
Kobe got a big ego, Garnett, Shaq etc u gotta say u better than the next to take that last shota lot of Young players have to have that PSYCHOLOGICAL edge
to say I’m BETTER than the next personu know what i’m saying, tyson chandler goes to church in corona and even my
friends be trash talking his dribbling skills, everyone that plays ball got an egoits basketball 101 😉 have a big ego
I know that u’ve played at a high level too,
so I’m sure u know a lot of players with egos, right?0 - Posted on: Mon, 11/02/2009 - 11:24am #226160

lalailaParticipantYou know why I have Gordon EASILY best efficient scorer but still don’t have him over Mayo Beasley as overall scorer..sometimes it seems like Gordon just don’t need to shoot alot(or he is little shy to shoot next to Baron,Al,others), if i knew he is going to shoot something like 18shots and will get ~27ppg(like rookie years’ 11fga 16ppg , now 12-13fga 19ppg) i would have him easily best scorer there, but i want to see him trying to be #1 option, i don’t even remember has he ever shot 20+ shots in NBa game?
0 - Posted on: Mon, 11/02/2009 - 11:57am #226183

JNixonParticipantThat’s good for Mayo, but I won’t say who’s better until the season is deeper in the season. One 40 point game can make your stats inflate when you’ve only played 3 or 4 games. It’s basic math, I wouldn’t compare stats right now to determine who’s better this early in the season.
