beard20ParticipantLooks like Missouri is taking at run at Coach Painter. This would be a great signing by Missouri but a huge blow to Purdue.

parkerjParticipanton the other hand for Purdue, they have THE top young coach nearby
While i’m still not sure Stevens would leave, the situation at Purdue is completely different than the others he’s been offered.
He’d be going to a program that has been successful, the roster is made to play closer to his style than the other teams who courted him, and he’d stay inside his primary recruiting area (and homestate)
not to mention, Purdue doesn’t seem to be as much of a high-pressure job as schools like Oklahoma, Oregon and UT, despite the fact that it’s arguably been more successful than all 3 recently
It seems like Stevens might wanna go to IU…but the only way that becomes available is if the highly rated recruits coming in don’t pan out. If that happens, I don’t know that any coach could get the team to live up to the fans’ expectations
