knicksfan7ParticipantMason-Griffin is making a mistake, he’ll be lucky to get drafted in round 2. Though, with all that is happening at OU makes me wonder about Capel and what he is doing to have 2 guys leaving.

QUINCEYwhats funny is if he was on kentuckys team and put up the exact same numbers people would say hes a first rounder. he’s just as talented as bledsoe but this is what happens when youre putting up numbers on a losing team. just like bledsoe i think he needs to come back

JNixonParticipantVery true Quincey…he’s an even better scorer and shooter than Bledsoe too.

kanyedabestParticipantheard on espn radio tht he wants to pursue a pro career so he def is gone….. i like the dude and best of luck in serbia or wherever he ends up… i dont get it, why not transfer??? at 20 years old he is now a pro who has a long journey ahead of him…. 5 years from now he could be washed up and be 25 yrs old with no more ball…no degree like wow

bdoody42ParticipantOnce some kids get it in their mind they are going to enter the draft, you can’t stop them. I think Mason Griffin is one those guys. I think he can go early in 2nd round with good workouts.

knicksfan7ParticipantIggy, this was funny. I enjoy how he wrote under Oklahoma on education info academics, bball, that cracked me up.

kanyedabestParticipanthahahaha j-nix tht was an awesome link

MagikKnickParticipantThis is a good year for point guards to see what they can do, because this draft class lacks serious depth at that position, so teams in need of a PG might take a stretch, and draft guys a bit earlier than they would regularly
So dont be surprised to see the Kemba Walkers, Eric Bledsoes, Mason-Griffins, test there draft stock in a few workouts..
But, As for TMG, He definetly should stay…Guys, especially freshman, should stop settling for being 2nd round picks…, stay a year, and your a first rounder, another year and you might be a lottery pick…but Nope, he settles for possibly being a 2nd round pick

QUINCEYyeah but most teams have pg so they chances of themgoing high arent that good..who are the lotto teams?
nets
hornets
minny
clippers
wizardsmost teams need other things and none of these pg are projected game changers or though to be better then the pg that the teams already have plus there are other players who are simply better

bdoody42ParticipantI dont think anyone here thinks Mason Griffin would be near the lottery but perhaps he could work his way up to the later part of 1st round.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 03/24/2010 - 12:00pm #269387
QUINCEYmakes more sense to try it next year since his stock this year is second round
0 - Posted on: Wed, 03/24/2010 - 12:03pm #269390
bdoody42ParticipantI see your point for sure but he has made his mind up after one semester id say. Maybe later 1st round best I could give him.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 03/24/2010 - 12:05pm #269394
QUINCEYhas he signed with a agent?..if not then he hasnt fully commited to going in the draft
0 - Posted on: Wed, 03/24/2010 - 12:06pm #269396

JNixonParticipantIt’s nealry certain he won’t be a 1st round pick. He has only has an outside chance of being drafted period
0 - Posted on: Wed, 03/24/2010 - 12:13pm #269404
bdoody42ParticipantName 7 or 8 better PGs in this years draft? By default and potental i see him going in 2nd round. I wouldnt take him in 1st imo.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 03/24/2010 - 12:14pm #269406

JNixonParticipantIt would depend on who else declares….
I don’t think 7 PG’s will even be taken. Last year was the 1st time in years more than 7 were taken and that was because of just how deep the PG class was.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 03/24/2010 - 12:17pm #269409
QUINCEYbetter as far as more ready?..collins,wall,vasquez, the kid out of nevada. the first roound is gonna lack point guards not just because there arent alot but because there are better players at other positions and alot of teams picked the pg that they want in last years draft
0 - Posted on: Wed, 03/24/2010 - 12:18pm #269410

midwestbbscoutParticipantIf I’m tryin to take a PG in the second round I pick him for sure….early second so I don’t have to guarantee him a contract….but he definitely has 1st round talent so it would be worth it….
0 - Posted on: Wed, 03/24/2010 - 12:25pm #269411
bdoody42ParticipantYou made my point by making 3 guys and some guy from Nevada lol. If he goes undrafted I will be very very surpised. I say about 5 % of that happening. If you solid team and can takea chance with a pick hes a great option because he has good potential.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 03/24/2010 - 12:26pm #269412
QUINCEYhe has potential 1st round talent. not first round right now
0 - Posted on: Wed, 03/24/2010 - 12:46pm #269419

midwestbbscoutParticipanthe should watch the tournament to see how its not always a bad thing to transfer……
Wes Johnson, Jordan Crawford, Epke Udoh, Curtis Kelly……think how many millions of dollars were made by those guys decisions to transfer….
0 - Posted on: Wed, 03/24/2010 - 12:53pm #269423
QUINCEYeither he has a higher sense of his worth or someone is in is ear telling himto go. has he sign with a agent though?..alot of people are getting on himlike he has so im guessing he must have..if not then i dont understand why people are getting on him because you can come back if you dont sign with a agent
0 - Posted on: Wed, 03/24/2010 - 12:56pm #269425

midwestbbscoutParticipantit ain’t even a big deal if he didn’t sign w/ an agent yet…..that might be smart for him actually….
0 - Posted on: Wed, 03/24/2010 - 4:36pm #269555

seecocoaballParticipantY’all are overreacting. I like this guy. His speed and strength is underrated. His only knock is his size and I can’t see his stock raising if he stays to his Junior year. I can see him going somewhere in the 20- or 30-range. I’m a Bulls fan and if he’s available, I’d take him. He’s a great backup but his far more potential than that. Look at Chris Paul, I see similarities.
