RigelzParticipantReally bad he is ineligible this year. I’m not american and i don’t know all the rules of HSs, but i’m sure that in many other countries such a talent would be protected, sportingly speaking, and he would play in some important club near stronger player. In US he has to fight to play at HS level… really strange… i’m not sure this system is the best today. High schools are full of talent but i fear che some part is not adequately grown.

ThepessimestParticipantI coach here in Arizona and all I will say is Marvin is no victim as it pertains to the structure of US hoops. His family made certain decisions that got him where he is right now. These choices did not HAVE to be made. I do however respect his father’s right to make these choices. I do not condemn him for the choices he made. Just understand that he didn’t have to do this. He was enrolled in a school that with him won their 4 straight state title and played a national schedule including an appearance or 2 on national TV. Which included playing with 3 other highly recruited players. He did not have to leave and then leave again which is how he ended up at Sierra Canyon. He could have stayed at Corona played and likely led them to a 5th straight state title.
