http://www.CLHTV.com/ Marshon Brooks has become one of the hottest names in the draft with his great outside shooting and ridiculous wingspan. This footage is from a workout in Chicago with Tim Grover. For more info go to

Could really be a steal if he falls late enough, I saw him last year and was very impressed with his game, good height for a SG, can really shoot the ball well, has a great mid range game, and is a very underrated passer, can rebound and  he was the only guy on his team that could really score at will and was very unselfish looking to get his teammates involved. Glad hes doing well and hope he goes to the right team where he can play and show off his skill and talent.

mixed feelings on MBrooks, we’ve seen too many great scorers in college that couldnt make the transition…but I gotta admit, Brooks is looking good..

His production (even for a bad team in a good conference), his good workouts and 7’2” wingspan will get him picked up in the first round this year.

I definitely think Marshon should be a first rounder, especially with the weak draft at the 2 spot, and many teams looking to add a 2-guard to come off the bench and play solid D and knock down open shots (Marshon does both).  Anthony Morrow wasn’t even half the scorer Marshon is and he found a great niche in the league due to his shooting.  Although I don’t think he can shoot as good as Morrow, he can definetly get to the rim better while still hitting at a decent clip from the outside, so he should find himself in a good position with several teams in the latter part of the first round.

One thing that I don’t agree with from watching this clip (and I know not to judge only on highlights), is what Tim Grover said.  Grover said he has a mindset and work ethic similar to Kobe.  He seems to be going through the motions in some of those drills and being a hooper myself know that if you are in the gym you need to give maximum effort to hone your skills.  Practice in game situations, just as simple as a jump shooting drill, needs to be done at game speed to attain any progression.  I don’t think Kobe would have been moving at the same pace as Marshon in these clips.

Bulls should take a long look at him if he’s still available at end of 1st round. They could use a scoring punch at that 2 spot.

Can he play defense? If so, the Bulls will definitely take a look at him

that 7-2 wingspan, as some one mentioned above, will give him great defensive potential. Also he can add some weight as he’s only 200 lbs.

I wonder if Knicks are smart enough to take him since there are no bigs that they can pick up.

I have high hopes for Marshon. Hes one of the players i want most. He can be a great 6th man in Miami.

Jordan Crawford is an awesome comparison for him.

Chicago would be a great spot for him to get picked, but I think someone’s going to take a gamble on him earlier. You have to wonder why he went to such a small basketball school like providence, and that maybe his numbers are a little inflated because he was getting all the touches

Wish he would slip to the Bulls…but he wont. His stock is way up right now.

Heres a theory. Put up huge numbers on a team of a bunch of nobodies like Jimmere Fredette. Has an NBA body. Has NBA athletism. Has a more complete offensive game the Jimmer Fredette.

So why would anyone pick Fredette ahead of Brooks? Because Fredette was on a good Mountain West team instead of a bad Big East team? No doubt BYU was better than Prov…but seriously. Brooks is for real in my opinion.

I see Manny Harris in Brooks’ game. He’s picking up steam in workouts and he is a talented scorer, but I have questions about his efficiency translating, his D being up to snuff, and his ball-dominance. Interesting prospect though.
