MopgrassParticipant10 of his points were in the 4th quarter. He’s a big reason the Lakers won.
Good to see this guy get a shot, finally. After his 1st year with the Nets it looked like he was really on his way and then… I don’t know what happened.
I’m not sure how he’ll keep getting play time with the Lakers’ 75 guards, but hopefully they just hand the guy the ball and see what happens. What have they got to lose at this point?

kanuflengParticipantits funny both of these guys (young and brooks) end up in lakers. both of them idolized and really patterned their game from the mamba. with those semi afros and love for isolation basketball. whose better between the two? if brooks would be given playing time?

HitsterParticipantBrooks had a very good rookie year, he then had an injury at the start of 2012-13 and had a confidence knock as he admitted himself. At Boston he sadly didn’t get much playing time in their rebuilding plans and at GSW he was at the end of a deep bench.
The move to the Lakers gives him 25 plus games to put himself in the shop window. For any SG playing under Mike D’Antoni can give his PPG a nice boost and certainly will get his confidence back. Plus with Kobe out another 3 weeks, he’ll get some decent playing time Also being around the likes of Kobe and Nash even if it is for just the next few months can help a young player like Brooks learn a lot.

surveParticipanta lot of people dont think Brooks has a future in the league. what else is new? people are so quick to write off young players. I am not saying he has a great future ahead of him…only that we havent really seen him given the best of opportunities to carve out his niche. Avery Johnson was a big part of his decline in Brooklyn. still, Brooks knocks coming out of college was his defense. young players like him have to learn how to at least play solid defense or they will always be scrapping for minutes.

kanuflengParticipanti cant remember people dubbing him as the next kobe. his playing style was similar to that of the mamba. he imitated kobe growing up. add that little afro and that’s it when it comes to similiraties with bryant. though i didnt expect him to go downhill from his rookie season. the kid has talent.
