tigers04Participanthe has been my friends since h.s so i am a little bias..but marqus blakely of vermont, the reigning 3 time defensive player of the yr in the american east and won the player of the yr twice..he is about 6’5 with a 7″2 wings span..and is the only player in the country to lead his team in points, rebounds, assists, blocks and steals. he plays a 4-5 in that conference(only bc how he dominates) but in highschool he handled the ball for our team and has great courth vision. i can see him being a late second round pick after combines(7’2 wings span and about a 36-38 vertical, plus very strong mature body) and see him making a team after summer league..and he is a yr young for a senior…the kid needs to improve his jumper(as well as refine total offensive game) but this kid has a world of potential…any thoughts of ppl who have heard of hi.
he was in the late late second round a few times on this site0 - Posted on: Sat, 03/13/2010 - 9:07am #265598
QUINCEYi doubt he gets drafted…prob will be on a summer leauge teamthough. not saying hes not good but teams dont tend to draft guys at that height who plays f-c unless they have shown nba/guard skills against a high major team

j1232eParticipantThat dunk today was impressive. He might be a late 2nd round pick due to his defense.

JNixonParticipantHe’s a disgusting athlete. That dunk today was CRAZY.
He’s not all that good though skill-set wise, but he could sneak into the late 2nd round of the draft and being a D-League warrior though. He’s 6’5″??? That hurts BAD for his stock

QUINCEYyeah the height while being in that conference and the biggest conference team they played was providence and lost by 30 or 40. he will get a summer leauge invite. if not he will make loads of money over seas. his game is perfect for over there

JoeWolf1You figure he could at least play a defensive 3. With that kind of wingspan and athletic ability he may be 6’5” but he plays more like 6’7” or 6’8”, I haven’t seen him but once so I can’t make much more of an assesment, but from what I’ve seen I agree with quincey and iggy, a D-leaguer or over seas guy after playing summer ball.

QUINCEYi used to think paul harris would make it because of that because his defense was very very good
