MalcolmxParticipantXavier Standout Guard Mark Lyons will transfer to Arizona and be eligible to play in this upcoming season. I think this is a good choice on both sides.

llperezArizona vs ucla is gonna be a great battle next year. Zona returns 2 key starters in solomon hill and nick johnson and some key backups and a top 3 recruiting class

MalcolmxParticipantYes,that is for sure Zona will be stacked and UCLA will be a pac 12 contender as well.

BiggysmallsParticipantGood get for Arizona. I think UCLA will still be the class of the conference this year but Arizona should have an inside track as the clear cut number 2 team. I dont think Lyons makes them significantly better then they already were though.

llperezI’ll have to spend some time pondering it, but zona vs ucla is almost a toss up right now. Jordin mayes was arguably a better pg for them last year then Josiah trurner and he’s back. Sidiki Johnson was a freshman who didn’t see consistent minutes last year, but he might be a pro. Definitely a talented big. I don’t know much about their freshman yet so I’ll wait to see who I predict to win the PAC 12.

BruinSteveParticipantI believe Sidiki Johnson transferred. But beside the point I think UCLA and zona will start off preseason top 10 to at worst 15. They will definetely contend

llperez@bruinstecve, u are correct about sidiki, but I actually meant to say Angelo chol the other frahman big, the lefty, got em mixed up. And I agree, both are top 10 nationally caliber teams. I am also a bruin fan but I do wonder about the pg play next year and how shabazz plays within a team concept and whether or not jsmith can make strides.

BruinSteveParticipantJosh is the biggest variable, if he can come in at 300 pounds and dominate then the sky is the limit. Although UNC fans may disagree I am a fan of Larry Drew, and Kyle Anderson can run the point on offense and Powell will be able to defend the opposing point(Kind of like the old Magic lakers did).

Dale WorthingtonParticipantTwo potential Final Four squads out West.
The talent is undeniable. Coach Howland has already taken UCLA to the Final Four 3 times. Coach Miller has taken both the X-Men and Arizona to the Elite Eight.
I hate to see Marky Ly leave my beloved Xavier.
But I’m happy to see him reunite with Coach Miller in the desert.
