I always enjoy reading Heisler and Sam Smith because don’t even pretend to watch college, but they do have great NBA contacts and base their stuff off them.

“12. Daniel Orton, 6-10, 250, Fr., Kentucky: Played little coming off knee surgery, but pros know all about him. Big, strong and athletic.”

“18. Mason Plumlee, 6-11, 240, Fr., Duke: Played little, but everyone knows he’s someone.”

It is funny that I sort of threw out there that if Daniel Orton and Plumlee went to CUSA schools that they would likely have the numbers of Whiteside, but to actually see someone have Orton ranked 12th just looks off. He would probably have a emergence as a sophomore with much of UK leaving that would be similar to that of Aldrich when half of Kansas left in 2007. I just would like to see it. Plumlee doesn’t strike me as a guy with such great upside as to ignore the fact that he has barely had any impact at Duke, but if that is the case then the one-and-done rule really hasn’t kept NBA people out of the high schools.

“13. Eric Bledsoe, 6-1, 190, Fr., Kentucky: Compact, athletic, supposedly Kyle Lowry with a jumper.”
I’m not sure if that is a compliment or not.

“24. Damion James, 6-7, 225, Sr., Texas: Tough rebounder who can make a jumper. Hope is he could be Carl Landry.”
My lower expectation is to hope he could be Sam Young.

Willie Warren is not only out of his top thirty, but so out of sight out of mind that he has him from Oklahoma State.

That is a really bad mock draft.

“1. John Wall 6-4, 195, Fr., Kentucky: Last prospect rated as high was LeBron James.”

That is a bunch of BS.

John Henson is a Freshman, not a Sophomore.

I love Jimmer but I would NOT take him over Ebanks. Or most other players that almost cracked the top 30 of that mock.

jimmer is returning for his senior season anyways. i would take him with a late first rounder, maybe 25-30 ish. It is really hard to pass on a guy who can shoot like that AND do other things like dribble and what not.

Even if he couldn’t do anything besides shoot you would have a shorter Anthony Morrow. As long as he can play ok D he will have a good nba career.
