If  Im  the Hornets I would do EVERYTHING possible to trade up and get this kid Mario Hezonja, he fits everything this team needs a prospect with superstar written all over him. Cocky, nasty ,shooter, high flyer, ALPHA dog, 6’8 agile with Kobe mentality! If im Jordan Im screaming at Cho to go get me this guy on draft day, Anybody is on the table outside of Kemba and MKG . With the 9th pick the Hornets will have to see who falls in their lap, and Johnson is ok but not a star … Booker is alright just a shooter , Stein COULD fall and I’d be ok with that  but I want Hezonja. Id trade up to the Magics spot and offer the 9th  pick , G. Henderson and Cody Zeller , I think they would take this…….thoughts ?

If Orlando keeps their pick (Or moves down a couple spots), Orlando could surprise and select him. I think GM Rob Hennigan is self aware that his team needs some type of spacing to succeed in the modern NBA. Plus Hezonja is a “swing for the fences” type of selection that they can chance at this point in their rebuild.

Hezonja’s performance last week in the Euro playoffs where he canned 5 three’s is promising for his potential behind the arc. He also had a game this year in the regular season where he went 8-8 from distance. If he played on Kentucky or Duke and did that against a conference rival everyone would be talking about him as a lock for the top 5, since he also has nasty athleticism to boot

i agreed his athleticism and 3point shooting and size makes him a target to me . He performed all of the dunk champs dunks with ease he claims and he seems more then ready to hit the court running in the nba . Im not sure if Magic will take him (hope not ) but id def trade up to target him.

ive seen a few videos of him driving to the basket and slamming , i believe he will be able to do it and def has the speed to turn the corner on defenders and get there + I think hes waiting to make a highlight reel of somebody. His size gets me excited about him at the SG position because he will be so long most 6’4  even 6’6 sg will find it hard to shoot over him

The kid is a stud.  So many of the international guys have the skills, but don’t have the needed attitude.  This guy has both.  I think he is going to thrive in the NBA.

I like Hezonja and think he is going to be good, but I wouldn’t trade up for him they should be able to stay put and get Devin Booker who will also really help them and is probably a better shooter. Hezonja def. has the higher upside of the two, but not enough to trade up for him.
