There’s no way Marcus Carr of Minnesota doesn’t get taken in the first round this next draft. He’s a great floor leader, with a great shooting touch. And this site doesn’t even list him in the second round. He applied for the draft this year but withdrew, that was a very good decision on his part. This team after beating #4 Iowa is 8-1 and will get more coverage if they keep it going.
Brandon Johnson would be a great pickup in the 2nd round or free agency for a team looking for 3 point shooting also.

Marcus Carr is really good I agree. IMO so far he’s an All-American that may get some 1st round hype too… But did you notice some of the other really good Junior year guards in the NCAA right now? Jared Butler, Ayo Dosunmo, and Jason Preston to name a few that could sneak into the 1st round… I’m curious if this group is that good or if they are getting bloated stats or wins because the competition of in coming Freshman aren’t as deep as other years. (Probably somewhere in the middle) After the top 8-10 best freshman, it drops off a bit imo.

I’m wondering… who would you all draft 1st between Marcus Carr, Jared Butler, Ayo Dosunmo, and Jason Preston?

Ayo Dosunmo as of right now would be my pick between those 4. He’s another Big Ten guard that has shown a lot against the competition. I think he could have went in the draft last year and would have done very good. Great player!
MN played Illinois earlier this year and took a lead and then couldn’t any shots after that and ended up getting blown out. But these last two games Marcus and Liam have played like they belong in the NBA. Marcus has a great step back shot that has really helped him.
It’s been a very down year for Duke and Kentucky so I don’t see a lot of their players going in this draft. And I don’t think it’s going to be a very good year for the International players either.
So I think the 3 players you brought up plus Marcus will go in the first. All are very good, and deserve it.

Liam Robbins from Minnesota is another under the radar prospect to keep an eye on who could be drawing some attention from nba scouts. He’s a 7 foot transfer from drake who has completely transformed his body after weighing over 300 lbs in high school. Decent mobility and is averaging almost 3 blocks per game on the season to go along with 13 pts and 7 boards. And he has also shown the ability to stretch the floor shooting 37% from 3 so far.

Liam has done a very good job for MN so far. When the year started I thought he was just another guy that got to play because of his size. But he has really come on and done a great job. I’m not sure he’s first round material but I think he’ll get drafted.
He definitely needs to add some weight though. But has great touch around the basket and like you said has 3 point shot.
